just to ask..the warranty for the device just need to produce the warranty card when sending it to asus?need to do any online registrations or anything similar beforehand?

Anyone have problem with battery life? My set was charge full last night and this morning it drain down to 50%.

Going to send in to Asus to check. Any idea the service centre at burn road or opp fun an?

Is yours a 3G set? Could be the infamous baseband_xmm_power kernel wake lock causing the battery drain which seems to affect only Tegra devices with mobile data capability such as Nexus 7 3G and HTC One X. Download Betterbatterystats to confirm. Unfortunately, there's no cure for this kernel wakelock .... My tablet is having this issue right now.

No such mode for current Android devices. It's MTP all the way.

This is not Asus problem actually if you're experiencing baseband_xmm_power kernel wakelocks. Have you at the very least downloaded betterbatterystats to find the culprit.....?

If its caused by an app and not a hardware issue, why bother making two unnecessary trips to the service centre?

With an errant app I've went from 100% to 0% overnight, so don't jump to conclusions about hardware first.

That being said, I've not encountered the kernel problem for a long time personally, maybe because I'm always on custom roms/kernels.

There's only ONE version that has 3G, and it comes with 32gb ONLY. Whatever US telco that it's labelled with doesn't matter. That narrows it down pretty much right?

i think u can find it quite easily with ur requirements...there's only 1 model with 3g. 3 model on wifi only

I find the price on Amazon more expensive compared to other online retailers. I bought mine from Adorama for $299 (wifi, 3G, 32GB), free shipping within the US

In the US they always refer to it as 4G rather than 3G though..
