Challenger is selling the original Nexus (Asus) plastic type flip cover at 50% discount for members. Comes in a few colours. I just got a Teal coloured one there myself at Funan branch at S$14.50. Go take a look.

Anyone knows a good place to get flip covers for this device? Or if anyone here is selling off their extra cases or what, please let me know!

I'm waiting for my 2nd gen to arrive from Amazon. Don't think can use my current 1st gen Dodo case.

My battery life for n7 3g also quite crappy after update to 4.4. Last time turn on airplane mode can last 1 week +. Now 4 days + battery critical liao.

GOSH !!!

First hiccup after so long.

Tried update to 4.42

When I see a "update ready and touch to install"
I just go ahead. It shut down and restarted by itself than, the android mechanic icon appear as if its processing the update - Than Bom.

"Error"

and stuck there "freeze". Think something went wrong.
I hold the power button, it restart.

Its still 4.4.

After on and off, later it will show again update available, touch to update.
It would ends up "error again.

Any one else have facing this upgrade failure issue for 4.4.2 ?

Please share if there is any solution to over come this scenario.

Not yet. I'm actually waiting for a stable release of OMNI rom to be out cos I want that multi window feature.

I find my Nexus 7 laggy and more memory consuming ever since the update to 4.4. So I am going to be cautious if I should go 4.4.2....

Would like to share some info, good and bad experiences.

Nexus 7 stucked at GOOGLE logo. Not even moving. Think kana soft bricked while trying to go back to stock and unroot using Toolkit soem thing went wrong.

Half way, suddenly PC cannot recognized Nexus 7.
Stuck at Google logo and the Nexus won't boot-up to Kitkat.

I guess, in the process of returning to stock, the tool kit erased off my original kitkak firmware and while trying to re-install, PC goes berserk. Error. And what makes it worst, I close the whole toolkit program. I may have plug out the oxygen mask unintentionally. Tablet is in COMA

Think it was in a SOFT brick state - like vegetable.
Only have power but no software/firmware to run... only show "Google"

Its still breathing but its not waking up ................................

Stayed calm, spent quite some time, go online to search and try.
Manage to get it back after some attempt and eventually managed to update to 4.4.2 Kitkat smoothly with no flaws this time.

Its a really hands on time- a learning period where things goes wrong.
Its true, that, when things goes all wrong, you actually are forced to find out. try all sort of ways and you actually lean

Will share my Nexus experience accidental COMA state to being normal and alive and kicking again ha

If some one had problem , can't complete start up of their nexus 7 and need help - Just asked and I or someone will try to do my best to guide to assist you get over your problem.

BUT before asking try - Hold power button down for about 10-15 seconds.
Tablet will turn OFF. To get into fastboot mode - when Tablet is "OFF" state. Hold power and volume down key at the same time. After a while you will see the "andrioid" icon and some infos of your Tablet. That is fastboot mode. When you are in fastboot mode, your PC will then be able to detect your Nexus and install the necessary driver so that your PC can communicate with your tablet and can start do flashing process with Nexus Toolkit to revive your nexus 7 into working state.

PS : The Novo 7a day's experience do help.

Haven't done comprehensive playing around yet but it seems pretty smooth.
