Did you use the toolkit to install a custom recovery on your 3G set? I think the problem comes when installing a custom 3G rom. If you're using a grouper (n7 wifi) custom recovery to install a tilapia (n7 3g) rom, there will be errors such as "status 7". Not sure if the toolkits have updated their custom recoveries to the appropriate ones. Which toolkit did you use Btw?

It's the wugs toolkit.

I Don't use it to install roms though but I used it to root and flash cwm. Roms are then installed via cwm, not the toolkit.

If you're able to install 3G ROMs on your 3G set using your cwm, it means wugs toolkit might have updated the cwm recovery already to the correct one. No issues then.

Yes. No doubt that there isnt anything to worry about. Nevertheless it is still not safe for people whom are new to rooting. There are many ways to root it. And thats where new people gets into issues or trouble.

Where im coming in from and where I stand is this.... read up more about it before doing anything. Dont take things for granted. And always ask yourself whether do you really need root? Is it a must? If so then read more before doing anything.

Sadly to say, most need to root.

Since Google has never want to implement a backup solution that is universal for us Andriod users to backup data and port to the next device.

I experienced that too. Is your device fully bricked? Can it still turn on? I solved it by using Stickmount.
