I am going to London in a few days and I thought I could pick up a Nexus S there. But then I discovered the UK pricing is crazy. 549GBP??? How ever did 529USD get translated into 549GBP???

Sigh.

I mentioned before already, if you are a tourist, you can go back airport to claim back the 17.5% tax from stuff you buy.

even after deducting 17.5%, UK sets will still be S$250 more expensive than US sets. :s22::s22:

I don't see 'HD Recording' anywhere in the technical specs...
Yeah, only in the main promo page.

But Engadget review confirm is only does D1 res max for video, so no HD recording.

WTF.

Not much choice here, you can't have the best of both worlds.

You like multimedia playback? SGS. :(

Like pure Google experience? NexusS. :)

Maybe Samsung negotiated a deal with Google that Nexus S should not compromise the sales of SGS :D

So Nexus S shall be crippled.

Hehe....maybe. But by simply not releasing 2.3 for SGS is a very big blow already. :D

Anyway, it makes sense lah. Samsung paid licensing to have those codecs in their phones, where got so stupid give to Google.....
