Lazy. Or rather they find it not much usage. Cause there is only that many devices that requires esim. Like smart watches. Even phones do have esim but there is physical sim options. So to Telco it is nothing much or incentive for them to provide an esim.

M1 on the other hand is pushing for it. And their esim is rather easy and widely supported. Unlike sh and St, selective devices.

Cons for telco is makes it easier for consumers to churn.

There are travel esim that act like normal SIM. My major concern is unless you own either an iPhone or Samsung, you always run the risk of the esim not compatible with your phone. Whereas physical SIM is 99.9% certain to work with any model.

Might have support for dual esims via a future feature drop:

'multiple enabled profiles' (MEP) support on Android 13 to have two active eSIMs. The MEP support, in case you don't know, eliminates the need to have two eSIMs elements or an eSIM and a nano SIM card to have dual SIM functionality. It allows the single eSIM element to connect to two different carriers at the same time. The dual eSIM support was expected to arrive later as a part of a Feature drop, but it appears to be working on the current firmware.

Bought a set of 128gb Obsidian from Shoppe.
Realised that there was no dual SIM, but daughter has already broken the seal of the box.
Tried to return to Shopee but was rejected.

Willing to let go at $1200. + the $250 voucher (not yet register/redeemed)
Phone has not been turned on for first time, and totally not used at all.

Could I check with anyone if they received an email acknowledgement for Google Store $250 voucher? I have applied twice and didn't get any.

I bought a Pixel 7 Pro and here's what I noticed:

Pros
- smooth screen (will be hard to go back to 60z)
- no issues so far with login etc
- photos are nice but oversaturated a bit. But not overexposed.. so good.
- size is okay.. wished it wasn't so narrow

Cons
- white backgrounds don't so so white (dirty look) . I compared to my iPhone 8 Plus and it's a very noticeable difference
- curved screen. I don't know the purpose? it looks very cheap.
- speakers sound very thin and trebly.. lacking bass
- very slippery as I prefer to use without case. So far using with masking tape until I am sure if this is a keeper
- photos wished they follow standard 3:2 ratio
- wish bezel was uniform all the way

Not sure if I should try Pixel 7. Not really missing the zoom etc. Just want a nice accurate screen, with grip and good speaker. Is the rainbow effect really that bad or can live with? not many reviews talk about this in YouTube etc.

Both. Cos the Google photos app is lacking many features in a traditional gallery but it's editor has the more useful features.

Can't compare LCD vs Oled. Different tech. Also a calibrated screen, the white is always more yellow. That's what I learnt when I got my Surface Pro which are all screen calibrated for production work.

Don't understand why you want a wider phone unless you have giant hands. The phone is already at the limit of 1 hand operation when the thumb is trying to reach across the keyboard.

I like this speaker more because it has better clarity, great for podcasts. Too much low end tend to make higher end muddy. Personal preference.

Compared to iphone 14 pro max, yes it is narrower ( 76 vs 77 mm )
