I just switched to M1 for the first time (prev singtel), and immdiately I noticed when its on 5G on my P7, the signal only 1 bar, regardless of whehter im outside or at home. Only LTE then can get max bars. In fact Im rarely getting 5G now ever since I switched to M1. And the annoying thing is whenever it switches from 5G to LTE, my mobile network actually gets cut off. I dont recall ever getting that while I was still on singtel.

Not sure if its M1 not playing well with the pixel modem. Any one of you have similar issues?

Were you using p7 with singtel 5G before M1 ?
Maybe your area M1 5G coverage is not as good SingTel 5G

I wouldn't use 5g now

Better to just skip it until all telco got full islandwide coverages.

Paiseh want to check with ya'll cuz I'm most likely going to get a pixel 7 come the CNY sale, but not sure which carriers support volte (this turned out to be quite essential to me). I'm on M1 currently and confirm cannot cuz I last time had a 4a 5g.

Does Gomo and Giga support volte for P7? Or is it only Singtel and Starhub plans directly that can? My friend using a pixel 5a has volte access on his gomo plan, so got some hope ah, but if anyone can direct confirm for P7 that'd be great.

Yes I was on Singtel 5G on the P7 before I switched to M1. Before the P7 was on iphone 13 pro. And both phones were fine on Singtel, never had any of the issues Im having the moment I switched to M1.

I tried forcing it to LTE, but its not any better. I was at ION this evening after work and my whatsapp literally could not send messages, and my discord was not loading at all. Maybe cos I was sitting in a restaurant, but still it shouldnt be THIS terribad. I had to resort to using ION's wifi LOL, thats how useless my LTE was. My signal bar even showed exclamation mark at one point.

Im guessing its really just M1 not playing well with the pixel modem/modem firmware, because I don't believe every other phone is experiencing this issue with M1 in particular. Luckily the SIM only plan is non contract based and I can swap out anytime, but I still need to fulfil 1 month of use before I can make any switch.
