I think these are by far my most favourite features of Android O (although I must confess I've yet to discern any real-world difference):

Background Execution Limits - https://developer.android.com/about/versions/o/background.html

Background Location Limits - https://developer.android.com/about/versions/o/background-location-limits.html

Background Location Limits automatically apply.

For Background Execution Limits, you can go into Settings, Battery, then click on the specific app that's listed there as having consumed your battery, and toggle the appropriate setting.

First app that I turned on Background Execution Limit for is of course the notorious Facebook.

For some reason, my battery life is draining like crazy after updating to Android O. Anyone facing the same issue?

Anyone have this issue where u have to unlock ur phone before u can pay with Android Pay? After the Oreo update.

Seems like this is intentional if you look up Android Pay website?

I recall having used Android Pay before without unlocking the phone. I think it's got to do with the transaction amount. If it exceeds a certain amount, you'll have to unlock.

All the while same card. Before update, there was no need to unlock, just need to wake the phone.
Were you using the same bank's credit card as before?

If so, Google may have now made it mandatory for phone to be unlocked before paying with Android Pay.
