many reviews online

looks ok for home use

most of the time, it is the beans

the freshness of the beans

that's why some prefer to roast their own, it's the process for them

no time for that, happy with nespresso original capsules

my 2cents, if you have abit more budget. get the breville dual boiler and get a seperate grinder.

All the time, the grind size and the freshness of the bean make a huge diff.
i feel the grinder on the barista pro is not good enough. Not consistent.

Lelit Bianca
brand of pluck screen is OEM no branding
same bean
Diff grind setting
DF64 finer grind vs 1zpresso slightly coarser

DF64 was only pass to me maybe 3 days after grinding
1zpresso was grind today

wanted to test how df64 tasted like as they said it is able to give more clarity.
But I have been getting like only 2-3 bars with beans grind from DF64 vs 1zpresso which is normal.

I try using the pluck on DF64 pressure was never 3bar with paddle all the way to the right
But using same bean but grind using 1zpresso, i am able to get 9-10 bar with paddle all the way to the right

df64 seems to be finer grind size compare to 1zpresso.
plucking etc is all the same for both df64 and 1zpresso

later will attach photo of the 2

Therefore i do not know how come my pressure is so low even with finer grind.
unless u tell me coffee that has been grind after a few day make a diff compare to coffee grind on the day itself

I have tried pulling a few shots and df64 has never achieve high pressure

Left is df64 vs right 1zpresso

likely is grinded too coarse.

i use cheapo lelit, also got low pressure gushing, after i played around with NZ grind settings, i turned back to espresso settings expecting no issues. and the grinds did looked fine.

but it gushed with low pressure, wasted many grams :o

after i clean out and reset NZ, the same settings no more gushing.

think for NZ, when i grinded super coarse and adjust back espresso, the fines grinds dropped under the collar or threads, so even settings indicators at 15, the threads were not able to fully engaged, so it was more like 22.

yes i was thinking maybe too coarse therefore flow was fast leading to low pressure build up.

But in the picture, the one on the left is giving my low pressure and the one one the right is standard pressure.

the one on the left is finer and i try one last time to pack it as hard as i can and in the end it gave me max 4 bar and flow was very fast. 17g out 40g in 22sec with 5 sec pre infusion.

was almost tasteless at all.

That y i dun under stand how come:unsure:

Just grind finer.

And for electric grinder, you need to purge with each adjustment... otherwise you will always be chasing.

I will think twice and buy from legitimate sources, you will definitely need local support.

No wonder there are so many Rocket sellers, appears to have fake Rocket Espresso machines in the market.
Probably made in China, with toxic brass that leach a lot of lead and other toxins.

The only authorised seller is PAPAPALHETA.
No surprise since E61 is an open patent, I will rather go for the other brands or other newer systems.

You are asking why the made in China DF64 grinds finer, cost more, sound more supreme but how come can't grind fine enough to hold the pressure in the grouphead is it? As compared to your hand grinder 1zpresso.

It is most likely because DF64 is using flat burr, 1zpresso is using conical burr.
The shape of the produced grind is different and conical burrs produce a more even and round grind that gives you more resistance and yield.

wanted to test how df64 tasted like as they said it is able to give more clarity

I think no point testing cause this is very unlikely, don't believe too much in where you read it from.
I googled the DF64 spinning at 1400RPM. This is typical for flat burrs.

High RPM means that it produces a lot of heat cooking the grinds while grinding, this could burn off the exposed oil which could also reduce the resistance. It is unlikely to produce better clarity than your 1zpresso hand grinder spinning at whatever speed your arm can produce. :(

The only way to salvage with your DF grinder is to increase the fineness and/or increase the dosage.
Don't use packing as hard as possible to salvage such a situation. :(
