Thanks for sharing.

By the way guys, what’s the next closest coffee to local coffeeshop Kopi?

My closest so far is a blend that ToastBox offers, harshness of Kopi and some smoothness of cafe-style coffee.
Yong seng coffee beans if u're into this style.

Someone told me that local kopi that are too dark roast even if it's not fried with margarine, can gunk and kill your grinder though, not sure how true is that.

just buy it, end game grinder for us peasant. even if gbp drop, the delivery import charges went up, so not much saved then 2-3 years ago. :o

another thing you can try with your sette is when you change grind settings, run the grinder, change few notches, run grinder and repeat until your desired settings.

tiagong this to expel grinds currently inside that blocked your burrs from going finer. so while your markings show finer, the burrs do not tighten as much. at least what i saw with NZ when i did this
Thanks for the tips..
I tried yesterday evening..
after i change the setting all the way down to last notch, my extraction pressure is around 7bar..

i gotten some fresh grind coffee powder from a frd (his using niche) - straight i get a good consistent 9.5bar extraction..

And yup.. went ahead and order the niche.. lol

i got the Tiramisu blend. quite nice as i like coffee with hint of chocolate flavor ...

they are having 1-1 promo now with promo code COFFEEISLIFE if you interested to try. works out to be only $10 per bag of 250g
Thanks for sharing. Tried their Big Day Blend, quite like it as it is still slightly dark.

if you're referring to the Sette, that your burrs need shimming. Is the machine used for long?

Anyway, congrats on the NZ. Am in the same situation but keeping the Sette for weight dosing function.

The machine been with me for 2 years. after the 1st year i added a shim already.
ya.. seems like i may need to add 1 more shim, need to read up if we are able to add 2 or 3 shim in. will it affect the burrs.

And yes, just another excuse to missy for another toy.. lol

i basically remove all to clean up.. (always do it once a week)
But same issue, i pressume that i will need to add shim into the burrs.

you can try https://yongsengcoffee.com/products/the-signature-blend

Their signature blend are mix of Traditional Blend and Arabica
I would advise to get them to grind for u instead of using own grinder machine.

Traditional blend roast with margarine and sugar, you have a hard time cleaning your grinder.

ya i think thats fine tuning on top of the grinder setup. i do such turn and grind without beans on NZ, and see expelling from retention.

lucky you order your NZ, gbp start to chiong and holiday season coming longer wait time :o

Depends on where the ants are nesting. If it's outside of the pump areas no.. you'll need to dismantle and clean up.
