I bought this Anfim Super Caimano locally for $1324sgd. 75mm flat burrs, builds like a tank, superb doser. But main disadvantages are no timer, and massive grind retention. I got a separate timer for about 150sgd here

Anyone into drip coffee? Do you really need a kettle with a long spout?

you don't need it but it sure helps alot.

If you can get a long spout, get a more forgiving dripper like the kantan drip or kalita. A smaller v60 also is more forgiving than bigger v60s.
When I am on the road I use the kantan drip with french press with a broken tip to make pourovers.

My go to at home is the kalita wave. filters are not as easily available. For a cleaner,, lighter body cup go for v60.

I highly encourage espresso drinkers to drink good pourovers once in a while to go back to the basics and appreciate the nuances of coffee (esp. different kinds of acidity) that you may not get with espresso.

Thanks. I have the porous ceramic coffee filter that I seldom use and recently bought peaberry beans. Haven't tried yet but I was told that the taste profile will get destroyed in espresso.

hi guys,

looking for a replacement to my gaggia classic.

+ High steam pressure
+ PID
+ Water tray that is easy to refill (preferably from the top like Nespresso machines)
+ Under 1K

Single boiler is fine. To be paired with my Helor 101 grinder.

Try Breville Infuser or ascaso dream pid but this maybe above $1k

I googled utama coffee, because prices are too good to be true. Turns out it is very suspicious. Phone number and address are not legit. Most likely a scam website. Do not buy from them.

If they are located in Sg, I would walk in check out their products to buy as SG so small anyway.

U can’t walk in because it’s fake address. #331-331.

Singapore got 331 floor?

The phone number also +65 862 xxxxxxxx sounds like China scam.

I did email Utama Coffee as previously when I was searching for local Ceado E37S seller, they were the only one who seemed to carry the Ceado grinders.

They did reply me but informed me that they have already relocated to Japan. I then asked them about the voltage of E37S that they carry but they replied me it's 110V therefore I have given up from purchasing from them.

Legit or not, I still yet to be able to prove. The only thing I can prove is they have people replying to my emails (which could still be a scam though). LOL.

few questions:

1. Any recommendations for 3rd party forwarders that can ship from Europe (e.g. Italy) to Singapore? The shipping fees and most of the sites are crazy - around 120euros per machine. I don't mind slow shipping times.

2. is there any upgrade in terms of "first-shot taste" for these machines vs the Gaggia Classic, other than the usability/durability of the machines?

Scams are very responsive one. Sounds dodgy, moved to japan? Just like that and don’t bother to update website?

Their shipping info also seems to be targeting USA customers. Never say anything about Singapore at all.

Anybody know where to find the pump thingy like the pic above? I think it's extremely useful for single dosing!
