Does anyone do descaling on your machine?
I read that in SIngapore, our tap water are pretty soft, some suggested that its not a need.

Im running a Breville dual boiler BTW.

Another quick question.
What pre-infusion you guys running?

my current setup is
18g bean
94deg
7 sec pre-infusion
23 sec extraction
= total 30 sec
about 42g out.

find that little over extracted.. slight bitter.

i tried playing with the grind setting, but still cant find a good spot.

say for a start?
like
medium roast what would be the preinfusion to start with?
light roast?
Dark roast?
Usually I would do preinfusion for light roast only maybe around 3-5 seconds at 3 bar? as it’s usually pretty fine grind and need some preinfusion to pull properly. Medium or dark roast I don’t bother.

How's Yemen Moka Matari? Should be very floral and a bit acidic?

been using aeropress filter as screen, think can use 1 piece a day over many shots, as long you rinsed it

with bundled tamper, the smaller side helped with the paper edges

came out very clean :o

i think mainly very clean shower screen :o

just need a quick wet cloth wipe and 5s flush after a shot. i see the cloth no major oils or grounds.

channel wise seems always success got 2 streams out the spout :o

need cheapo tamper for this, wet the filter, put on top bigger side facing up, and then tamp down, use smaller side to make fine adjustment to paper edges
