My long overdue package finally arrived!

Been using tap water all this while. Abt time I let her drink some clean filtered water.
With the weighing scale, I can now dose consistent amount of grinds in my basket. Previously for consistency, I'll just overfill the basket a little, level it off and tamp. Now I don't have to waste anymore coffee!
The timer has a nice magnet at the back for me to stick it on to the machine!

Phil showed me around when I was there to view the machine. Cedric was the one who delivered and installed my machine. both are very friendly and helpful.

Please do a review if there's any different in taste. I've been considering a water filter myself. Some say doesn't make a difference in SG :s11:

after 2 days of using it, here's my take.
there's certainly a difference in taste, the texture seems more lighter and watery. I wouldn't go back to drinking tap water now. its a worthy investment and will encourage you to drink more water now.

Interesting... does it gives you clearer notes?

Will try it when I have the chance. :D

clearer notes as in my shots? there's a difference in my shots now, but I couldn't tell if its the water making the difference coz I've also changed my dose since I got the weighing scale now too. I'm just done redialling my grinder.

I got it from amazon, along with other stuffs as shown in my previous pic.
I don't know how much is it selling locally but I paid abt 25usd for mine.
The weighing scale is also a must-buy for home baristas imo. No more agar agar dose for me!

did a dry cappuccino today. didn't turn out quite the way i wanted, which is the distinctive 3 layers. tried 3 times and i gave up.
1st time i pull a shot into the cup itself, den i froth my milk. when pouring i hold back the foam with a spoon, den scoop the foam on top. only 2 layers :(
2nd and 3rd time i froth the milk 1st, pour into the cup, den pull a shot into the cup. marginally better results but still 2 layers only :(

just got an aeropress for office use. Also bought a hario grinder to combo with it.
Now to search for fresh beans.

still contemplating to spend like $600 for the grinder. Decisions decisions.

BTW, saw the gaggia set ( espresso machine @ $499 and grinder @ $299 ). Good starter I suppose?

Just came back from Xmas holiday.
Saw alot of PMs.

At the moment, I recommend the rocky grinder.
It's already an overkill for home use.

I think alot of cafes in Singapore are using Mazzer. Probably read too much reviews online.

I can only say, waste money, even for cafes.

Grinders are important but some emphasis you see made online are redundant.
