Hi guys, just to let you know that we are letting go of our Rocket Giotto Evoluzione V2.

The machine is less than a year old and the condition is almost brand new as it is seldom used. Reason we are letting go is because it is only used once in a while and a quality machine like this shouldn’t be laid to waste.

The machine has been descaled in March 2014. No initial set up is necessary, just plug and play.

It comes with everything that came with it out of the factory- aluminium tamper, 2 portafilters- single and double spouts, 1 single and 1 double filter basket, instruction manual, demo CD, cleaning brush, connecting pipe for plumb in.

Warranty- less than 2 months from the manufacturer but we will add in 4 months parts only warranty (Singapore only) for you. So a total of 6 months parts only warranty (Singapore only).

The machine doesn’t comes with its original packaging except for the accessories. So we are not that keen on shipping outside Singapore but it can be arrange. Terms and conditions apply for shipment outside Singapore.

Those interested can check out our thread at market place for more details or pm us to discuss.

How's the speakeasy blend? I'm keen to try it too once I'm done with the squaremile and Pacamara stuff.

I haven't try as many blends as you but I feel the speakeasy is the best tasting blend for me. The nuttiness and the chocolateness are very distinctive. I feel they got it right with the roasting profile. A must-try.

Seattle Coffee Gear finally does a review on the DeLonghi ESAM3300. I've known this fella for some time and been eye-ing on it on Amazon UK. It is now replaced by the ESAM4200 which is basically the same machine.

Review is good with the main good stuff. Simple and robust. Doesn't break down easily and if you are looking for a beginner super automatic it rates very high.

Very old model and it is a workhorse. The 4200 inherits the same DNA from it. GBP236 at Amazon UK.

Delonghi don't know made in where so cheap usually not made in Italy like those saeco. I think I read cheaper saeco made in china. Due it's design it's a work horse. I agree lots of good review as oppose to those cheaper saeco

To me one of the best also. Alternatively also can get Papa Palheta's blends. Nylon Four Chairs like so so.

I even down dose to 14g and tweak it a bit coarser.. Normally I use 15 or 16g.
And I was still able to get good pull. 6s before the first drip.

My understanding base on the pic is that I don't see any difference.
But base on my own experience, nutating tamp makes a tighter shot, and prevents early blonding.

There are some members inquiring about the size of a pack of Red Bird Espresso and Blue Jaguar. The roaster is offering at 1lb which is about 454 grams. That's the smallest pack. We are currently importing for this size only.

I'm more concerned about the freshness of the beans when they reach us. Do they roast on demand?

Yes, all of the roasters we partner with roast on demand. For Red Bird Coffee and our partnering roasters, the roast profiles of the beans are such that they are at their best after resting for 8-9 days. So when the beans reaches you, they will be at their best for consumption. We have in fact done a trial shipment for the various coffees and no staleness is detected. Is it better than the local offerings? We can only say there's a reason why our partners are considered by coffee lovers as some of the best roasters in the world. They are very particular on the freshness of their coffee and will not be willing to work with us if their coffee is unable to deliver at its best. It doesn't do justice to their reputation. You have to try them for yourself. You won't be disappointed. We aren't.
