Anyone getting the new EG one grinder? Looks tempting...finally a electric grinder that can properly single dose and low retention....

Hope it's not too expensive.

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I have a 2014 HG one TiN that I'm considering letting go. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Well I can tell you it's gonna cost around the same price as your Cremina...

Alright, still haven't resolved my Rancilio silver's electrical problem and have decided to have it repaired. Does anybody have an idea where to send to repair other than spinelli who is the distributor of Rancilio in Singapore? anyone has any cheaper options? Otherwise, I'd send it to spinelli next week

Hmmm try asking around all the machine vendors here to see they are willing to do a repair for a 3rd party machine. Ask for a price quotation too so u can compare prices. Some that I think may help:
Papa palheta
Highlander
Coffee In a place
Bettr barista
Fine coffee company.

Wow it does takes some time to make, hard to clean?

The first times I make, I spent more time calibrating the manual grinder.

After making more than 10 times, I think I already get the hang of it.

The cleaning part is ok. Not too difficult. If you are referring th bottom bulb, cannot really clean much. After pouring out the coffee, have to fill with water immediately, otherwise the coffee stain will remain inside.

Nice! Are you based in australia? How's the proud mary geisha beans?

I was in Melbourne for the first 2 weeks of December. I went cafe-hopping on my second week there.

The Proud Mary's Panama Geisha is good. I also bought the El Salvador Noruega at Proud Mary which is as good as the Panama Geisha but at a much cheaper price. I also went to Proud Mary's cupping session.

Are there any places for cheapest IMS filter and baskets locally/online?

I am not very sure about the IMS basket but you can get VST baskets from a plenty of places (espressocups, tionghoe,...)
From my own experience, VST basket is less forgiving, I have more channeling using VST basket than the stock one. But once I got it right it taste really good, it can give some flavors I have not experienced before with the stock basket.
