I find the removal of single use tickets at MRT stations absurb. A few times see tourists from nearby countries ask the Transitlink office to be told to buy a prepaid card for $10 with $5 value.

Many walk away after hearing it, maybe to take bus instead. Who would buy a prepaid card for just a one day visit.

But even if willing to use their own credit card, what about those with say a older child eg 10 years old. Can't use one credit card to tap for 2 person right ?

Are we the only country with MRT that don't have single fare ticket ?

Well they are already here. Guess kinda too bad they didn’t do research properly so have to suck it up?

Who would imagine an advanced country like SG don't have single fare Tix for MRT. I go overseas also won't check if their MRT have single Tix as it is unimaginable that a country's MRT will not have it.

after u get the ezlink card, u can't check ur balance at fare reader till u install ezlink/simplygo app.
now they tempt ppl with free $2 credit to convert ur old ezlink to be simplygo compatible. wonder how many elderly tio n compran how come no show balance de

Not so worried for elderly. Most use the senior concession card.

Hope that one don't have this issue because my family have one member going to get the card next month but she has no handphone.

When did this start ?

Lucky amount is not much. Will have to spend the Grab wallet amount on something else.

Notification says may not be able to use at shoppee. Then direct me to Grab help page that shows not allowed to topup shoppeepay, youtrip etc.
