recently this card quite problematic. Have setup GPMC for recurring payment with one of the telcos. Initially smooth deduction for 1st few months. Then it stop deduction for month of Sep 2022. So i thought it was a one off event. Decided to wait and see. There was also no deduction for month of Nov 2022. Just contacted the telco and they replied that "they have to contact GRAB to understand the issue"
Their South African payment processor very cui. Their gateway is always randomly problematic. That's what you get with a fintech going with cheapo partners, unlike banks. There's inherent costs to running a 24/7 payment system well, just that it's now more exposed with fintechs.

You forgot the chain at the start. Here's a very very simplified & assumed numbers for example,

Grab CC top-up: -3%
Revolut top up with Grab DC: +0.5%
Net loss: -2.5%

Grab PayNow top-up: $0.10
Revolut top up with Grab DC: +0.5%
Net gain: <0.5%
Info here is 😂,reveal it when they are going to block it. But nevermind, thank you. at least I can enjoying now.

I going to try $5 payment to IRAS first. If large amounts stuck inside, will take a long time to grab pay to hawkers to empty it out

Yes. U are right. Should play safe esp when this is like a one way ticket. But I was too lazy and also assured by other hzwer who have done it before.

depends on your risk appetite...

for small amount maybe can just whack.

but big amount, maybe test with a small amount first then top up the rest

Bit of OT but is there any alternative out there that can pay Keppel Electric (MCC4900) with rewards/cashback? Previously used the Amex > GPMC route but maxed out for the year.

Tried to use e-axs to pay town council s&c, but at the payment summary page, the select paymode mode is always greyed out and cannot proceed. haha..
