Have anyone tried Phoenix Cruiser for Halong Bay 2D1N Tour from Klook before?

They state we still have to pay 50USD to the staff onboard the cruise ship for the rooms on top of the price we pay to Klook.

2D1N for the cruise~ it did say they can provide "shuttle service to and from Tuan Chau Port and hotels within Hanoi is available at an extra charge" but didn't indicate how much~ did search online, the cost for transport is ard USD60 per pax, which i find too ex~ even travel from JB to KL also won't cost half as much~

thanks for the info~ guess this amount cannot save liao~ :(

Why not you try booking with the hotel or hostel you are staying or change cruise ship?

I booked with my hostel 4 years ago at USD90 per pax including of transfer and everything. My cruise ship is Halong Fantasea cruise. It is USD115 now. The itinerary is inclusive of transfers.

http://halongfantaseacruise.com/itineraries-rates/2/f01-halong-bay-2-days-1-night-on-boat#tabs-102

I went with 2 young children and the trip was ok. Kids enjoy themselves and love the food. We didn't pay a single cents on drink. Mineral water was constantly provided. Unless you order other drinks which is chargeable.

Just to share that it is better to book with your hostel or hotel. Cos if there's any changes, the hotel will arrange for you.

For my case, the day which I suppose to go was forecast to be bad weather and hostel informed me the day before and advise me to change to other dates. I tot the hostel was lying to me one but I let them change anyway. Thus I switch my itinerary. Instead of going to Halong Bay first, I go Sapa first.

When I headed to Sapa and met some Singaporeans on tour group at the train station. They told me they went Halong Bay the day before (the day which I suppose to go) and encountered bad weather and they couldn't sail too far and only spend few hours on board and come back liao.

I was like.... heng ah luckily the hostel informed me and helped me change date. They also helped me liaise with the hotel in Sapa to change date (I booked thru Agoda).

goin to hanoi this mar~ what's the recommended way to get to halong bay~? will their Grab take up the job~? what's the est cost~? 3 pax~

Best to stay overnite, at least 2D1N cruise if going to Halong Bay. No point going for day trip cos the journey from city area to Halong Bay is around 4 hours. To and fro already 8 hours.

booked a 2D1N HLB through Madame Linh
we paid USD150 per pax coz we wanted a room with balcony
got a room on La Paci which came with 2 queen sized bed and a balcony
the USD150 was inclusive of transport to/from Hanoi and they took the new highway so it was much faster, three hours including all the pick-up/drop-off

all in all pretty good experience
food was not bad, itinerary was well-paced and drinks on board were reasonably priced
we paid less than S$50 for 2 coke, 2 beers, a coffee and 4 cocktails

Might be a bit tight. Ninh binh can be day trip but halong bay will typically be 2d1n and sapa 3d2n as sapa pretty far, although day trip and 2d1n respectively also possible.

Sapa is up in the mountains. Travelling by car or bus or train will take easily 8 to 10 hours

Anyone has recommendations on Halong Bay 2d1n tour? How was the experience? Is it worth going in the first place?

And what other activities or itineraries you all have in Hanoi?

1N there is enough, it's boring but it's an exp. Try to go for more expensive ones if you have the means
