Ex-colleague died of cardiac arrest. Died in the lift. A few days before complained of heavy breathing. Climbed 2 flights of stairs must take break to catch breath. Got cold sweat and back pain. I told him go see a doc but he told me he got no time. Too busy at work. Basic lesson no. 1 - your life is more impt then your job. Go see a doc if u suspect something.

12hr shifts are okay if the off day happens often. I'm on this 12hr cycle 1day1night 2 off.

Enough rest and pretty much it feels like a weekend happens every 2days 😅

We work in a team and the cycle doesn't change unless you change teams. Best part we don't bring work home and other team problems is not my problem.

Sometimes, can't sleep at day time due to extreme hot weather n come to work at night very song.
Also body internal heat very hot too.

I am on statin 80mg the highest. But cannot maintain below 1.3. Doctor gave additional medication ezetimibe in the morning. Now LdL went below 1.3. I took another CT scan this year with another doctor during health check. The blockage still same after 5 yrs. But not getting worse.

Bto, is it self injection?
Please take good care of yourself and be strong.

24hr shift are okay if there are rest time and followed by 2 off days. Also important is not to be recalled in case manpower shortage.

Inspired to create a thread on my near death experience

I ever held and punched my chest ,felt like balloon bursting anytime during that 10-20 sec, at work

I guessed because I had been munching on potato chip one pack of 184g everyday

I was really scared to collapse then ,can't imagine my wife at the same workplace received my death news

I was 39 or 40 then
That was the last time to experience such a terrible feeling

I have minimized on eating potato chips greatly
Anyway, shall I cut down on eating fried eggs? Been eating nasi lemak this way the past 2 days but requested not to add sambal chili, since this year

Heart surgery repair need time to recovering;)
U got how many vessels blocked? I think usually they only do open heart if 3 vessels or more blocked. Most of the time is PCI, just poke at your groin and put stents to open up. They can even numb u if u scared of the pain. Usually can be discharged the next day.

I heard plaque on the arteries is permanent. Is it true? Any ways to reduce it? Or really can just prevent it from worsening but can’t reverse anymore?
Making plaque disappear is not possible, but with lifestyle changes and medication they can shrink and stabilize.

I seriously think cherry tomatoes helps a lot in reducing plaque
Been eating it on most days the past one year ,it is even better than normal tomatoes
Best if you cook it

Raw tomatoes are rich in vitamin C, which brightens skin and fights inflammation while cooking tomatoes releases more antioxidants such as lycopene, which may protect against cancer. Tomatoes offer various benefits and contribute to heart, cognitive (brain), and prostate health.

But in your opinion, is it better than never walk at all?

Been drinking more plain water these days ,pangsai 5 or 6 times a day couple of days ago but color was healthy each time
Walking in the sun isn't helpful to a layman; in fact it strains your heart even more coz it has to work harder to pump blood to your walking muscles AND to the skin to dissipate the heat as part of the cooling mechanism.

Go exercise a bit lah. The park connector (beside the river) is just next to your block right? Go down, walk to the end of the park connector, U-turn n walk back. Do it 4-5X a week, within a month I guarantee you will feel better / healthier.
