I would like to downgrade myself to a 2-room rental flat if possible.

Sell my 5-room for 600K.

I would rather have lots of money for retirement.

New rental flats are LIVEABLE. Only social stigma thinks that those rental flats are undesirable.
If you don't mind difficult neighbours then carry on. But you need to show alot for them to approve.... So at best I think flexi lease. No rental

Someone did suggested mixed of rentals and BTO in same block. But not sure did they really implemented that before? But current BTO don't have such flats.
Yes, it was implemented on Marsiling Greenview BTO for the 2 room rental & 2 room flexi BTO in the same block as per below site plan.

My frd project... Together... My house, I choose 4/5 rm cluster...

Got a frd lives punggol, one day, his son after kindergarten. He asked his daddy when can he get a tattoo... He wanna faint...

Ya live near rental blk.
I understand where are you coming from.

No point to sugarcoat the fact here. I believe not all people stay in rental flat is bad, but how many percent? 10%? 20%?
Yes, 4rm/5rm also have bad apple (of course), but it is minority.

Some BTOs have, depending on project, look at the legend to be sure.

It will be shown on the detailed map when the project is launched. Btw, all the 2 room listed for sale are really for sale only, none are rental flats. You see 110 2R flexi means all 110 are for sale. Rental flats exist in their own different system not open to public

There are rentals in the same stack, just different floors mixed with regular units.

For that need to look at detailed floor plan for that BTO site.

Been to this blk. The amount of PMA/D parked outside the unit...
Rental until don't have bomb shelter, it is shared between 2 units.
From what I've seen during BTO selection, most people will avoid rental blocks. HDB knows this but the result of mixing units up is still unknown.

Located in District 10, which is commonly associated with Singapore’s most affluent residential estates, the property’s value aligns with the area’s reputation for high-end luxury homes and prime real estate.

TS... why not look for a place here instead?

You seriously think there is no difference? Of course there is a difference. You are not just paying for the unit, you are also paying for the type of neighbours you get. Why do rich people only want to stay with rich people ? 🤣🤣🤣
You don’t get what I mean. Everyone knows that. I am referring to TS post.

Actually don't said people looks down on those staying at rental flats. I ever talked to some old folks staying near rental blocks. They told me those blocks always have police cars visiting and quite problematics. Even my current block because I left with only type 1 unit during selection. Got 1 couples few units away staying in type 2 unit acts like damn proud of themselves. But in my heart I very sure I'm much richer than them. Only thing is I'm not so particular about size as I'm lazy to do all the house cleaning. Haha

If you have been to rental blocks you will see the difference. The vibe, environment and the people living there is different. Not say I discriminate them but if one spend a fortune to "purchase" a unit, I think is not fair if the unit next door is a rental. Which is TS's concern.
Rental block I think every 3 4 days u will see police car come visit. Lol
