Head/earphones Recommendations Thread

Am currently using the Koss Portapros which I love a lot.

Am looking for a earphone for portability that has the similar sound signature as the Koss.

More importantly, the soundstage and bass for the songs I listen to.

Any good recommendations for somewhere around 60-70?

I was initially looking at the Brainwavz R1 or ATH CKM500.

Creative Aurvana 3. I just got from Sitex... what a pleasant surprise with the quality.

Please stay away from Beats......

Yeah, stereo is a great place.. never liked auditioning earphones in other places. It just feels awkward and makes me leave =P.

I like auditioning in Stereo as well, at least giving us space to audition and helping us when we need it, helps us make more informed choices

You will be using them for portable use? Bluetooth ones quite a few to go for at your price
Can look at the Plantronics Backbeat Go falls nicely in your price range

Its been a while since i drop by Stereo.. Is looking around for a headphone that is good for bass. Looking between the SONY MDR-1R and the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro... I think the SONY one is easy to find but was wondering if Stereo carries the Beyerdynamic one.

- mic & remote preferred but not a MUST
(i don't own any Apple product so not point getting anything that works with Apple ONLY)

been using a Marshall Major for ~1 yr but it still clamps down on my ears painfully..rubber tubing on cable is torn...so getting replacement headphone...

You can go to stereo or jaben to get it.

But why don't want to buy online? The price difference kinda huge. Here stereo selling it at $199 while online you can get it at around $120 sgd after conversion from USD.

I think it's obvious the retailers' prices are not the most competitive on the market, even accounting for local warranty. e.g. are you telling me you will buy a TF10 from Stereo with its few hundred dollars mark-up just for its local warranty?

Nevertheless, it's still your choice. If you wanna pay the marked up price for that warranty then so be it, it's your choice. Don't go around pointing fingers thanks.
