Hi OCBC,

For 360 account, can I check if my car giro payment through my 360 account every month is considered a bill payment for the 1%?

My car is under ocbc loan and arrangements has been made for giro deduction every month from 360 account.

It certainly will. Any GIRO deductions or online bill payment (via OCBC internet banking) from your 360 account is eligible

Seriously OCBC CSO sucks big time. I called to check on my card application and the progress since it was supposed to reached me in a few days. When I first called, the guy checked and told me the card is approved and mailed out on 22/8 and if I never receive by 2/9 I should report it as lost mail. I called on the 2/9, and the CSO, another lady told me the card is not lost, it was just mailed out and will reach by this week. Now, Friday, 5/9, I have not gotten the damn card and I called. Now the third CSO tell me that he will report it as lost, cancel the card and send me a new one which will take another 5 working days.

Seriously screwed up. One card has to wait so long. I applied other banks card, the same week I can already receive it. Wth man.

Ya lor, it's singpost's fault, don't blame the wrong party. They also want to avoid voiding the first card too soon in case it was just late delivery.

I guess OCBC could've offered to send it a second time via registered post just out of goodwill. That would have been great customer service.

damn pissed off with ocbc's easicredit.
had checked with their staff at the branch to make sure it was deactivated 1.5 weeks ago.
but apparently it was still available and appearing in my account summary and atm options.
got to find out only when i used my atm card and i used quick withdrawal and it automatically withdrew from the easicredit instead of my 360 account.

Is it possible to change the first 3 digits of my bank account number which represents the branch code? I happened to open my account in Tampines but I actually live in Bishan. Are there any implications of the branch code?

OCBC Overseas Property loan

Hi,

I would like to enquire about the OCBC Overseas Property loan:
1. What is the current interest rate? And how often does this interest rate change?
2. Will the loan be calculated in SGD, or the overseas currency?
3. Which city in Australia can we use this loan for? Does it apply to the surrounding suburb of the main city?

Hi

Branch codes are part of your 12-digit account number, and we're unable to change it once an account is opened

Branch codes have no implication to your residential address. You simply need to indicate the correct branch code, when performing a fund transfer from other banks. Otherwise, the transfer will not be successful

Hi, I would like to feedback about your blue chip investment plan.

It's disappointing to find out that something so common sense like displaying the current investment plan (counters, amount and settlement mode) in the portal is not done. Your bank allows customers to amend their investment plans but does not display their investment plans.

Why OCBC? WHY?

Subscription to OCBC Rights through OCBC BCIP

Hi,

I'm a BCIP user. (BCIP = Blue Chip Investment Plan)

Since I have some OCBC shares in BCIP, when the rights are declared, I received a mail to decide what to do with my rights (subscribe or sell). I sent back my reply to subscribe.

The linked cash account has been deducted the amount I subscribe. However, it is neither reflected in BCIP dashboard nor I received any mail about that matter.

When will the OCBC shares subscribed through BCIP actually put into BCIP?

Thanks,

Hi OCBC,

I've been trying to find a list of charges for the SRS account, for example when I use SRS funds to purchase shares what are the charges per counter etc.

Also, any promotion currently for opening SRS account?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi!

SRS accounts are relatively free of charge, unlike CPFIA accounts. The only known charge for SRS account is a Trade Cancellation fee of $5.00 to process each unsuccessful transaction eg. Due to insufficient funds,
holdings or cancellation of trades

You can refer here for the full listing of charges:OCBC - CPF Investment Account

And we're currently not offering any promotions for new SRS account opening

NETS Flashpay top-up deducted from Monthly Savings Account

Hi, OCBC.

I have a 360 Account, as well as a Monthly Savings Account, with OCBC. Recently, I topped up the NETS Flashpay in my FRANK credit card at the ATM machine. When I checked my transactions, it appears that they've deducted the amount from my Monthly Savings Account instead of my main 360 account. This is extremely annoying because I won't be able to receive the 0.40% interest rate despite not withdrawing from the account the entire year.

Why did this happen, and what can I do to ensure future top-ups will only be deducted from my 360 account?

Hi Valette

Your Monthly Savings Account is probably linked to your ATM card as the primary account for withdrawal. We can help to change the primary account to your 360 instead

However, that would mean that any "fastcash" withdrawals through ATMs or NETS transactions will also be deducted from your 360 as well.

If you'd like to change the primary accounts, please send us a secured email from your internet banking. After logging in, compose an email to us requesting for the change
