There is a big concern why the digital token thing didn't stop the fraud txn.
I mean the scammers got the user id and pin thru the fake website.

But in order to go in successfully, need to click Approve. And any transfer of $ also needs approval via digital token.
Unless the mobile phones were also compromised when the victims went inside the fake website.

If yes, this is really very scary.

There is a need to bring back physical token. I don't mind paying $20 to exchange for a peace of mind.

Customers can continue to use the hardware token.

Edit2: It does not work so now I cannot login in via mobile browser,desktop or mobile app.

As a software developer by profession for 20+ years I can say OCBC either engaged IT vendor or in-house IT technical skillset leaves much to be desired. They are quite mediocre.

Now await OCBC support to offer me alternative and I suspect they will ask me go to branch if urgent to withdraw monies. Actually I just want to view my balance in case it disappear mysteriously.

Edit: OCBC support get back to me. From the mobile app called OCBC Digital if you manage to login first time with the latest version your OneToken is activated. This will take effect 24 hours later so in this period you cannot login via the mobile app. I will verify this again later tonight what they told me.

Step 1: With the latest version of OCBC Digital by hook or crook try to login in at least ONCE so it will activate the OneToken. For this what I do is uninstall and re-install from Google Play. Out of 3 attempts manage to login in ONE time.

Step 2: If above Step 1 succeed wait for 24 hours to see later can login again using the mobile app. If above Step 1 always fail say you uninstall and re-install many times say 10 times then better ask their Facebook OCBC support how as your luck run out. Is it must try 100 times perhaps to get a successful single login to activate the OneToken? etc etc

Not able to login from OCBC Digital mobile app for 2 days and a lot of ppl have commented they face the same issue and feedback in Facebook OCBC and the support team has acknowledged the problem. I contacted CS and they advise to clear cache, uninstall, reinstall same kind and I repeated 3 times but it is still the same.

Can I know when will this be fixed? If not able can rollback to previous working version? Now cannot login cannot do anything even from browser also have problem login as they request the manual OTP to get from the app but the app keep auto-restart I cannot reach that screen and login screen also to tap and get OTP.

Last time DBS, CIMB and now OCBC I wonder what is going on. Anyone know?

Just to share to anyone who has an immediate need to login but cannot. How it works for me is contact OCBC support ask them to deactivate your OneToken and switch to SMS-OTP. But in future if add New Payee etc will still need the OneToken which means my case is not fully resolved for the future. It only solve for my current immediate need to login for internet banking.

This stop gap measure means the OCBC Digital can uninstall since cannot use anymore. Wait until the day OCBC either engaged IT vendor or in-house IT fix their system/software and release a new version of mobile app OCBC Digital that is working as intended then install and reactivate the OneToken again with another round of testing.

Earlier I still thought DBS, CIMB are bad now I think hmmm...

I received an official OCBC SMS on a relatively acquired new mobile number that was never registered with the bank for any purpose.

Is the bank sending out mass SMS, without checking if the mobile numbers belong to legitimate customers, or is the previous owner of my new mobile number an OCBC customer who did not de-register??

Hmmm.....

i send in my phone recently for repair and re-enable my digital token after getting back the phone.
as i cannot use my camera phone during office hours (which OCBC tried to call me with another number which cannot be called back), OCBC take it that i was not contactable and proceed to disable my digital token today via sms notification.
have called their CSO to enable back my sms login and requested them to send me a new physical token just in case such inconvenience happens again.

They already started that. Their digital token system is screwed. Compared to implementation from other bank. They jave a very poor implementation.

Still, is best to jave token in 2 different places. Also take note (it has been reported in facebook). Those who get letter to change their user ID to a more complex one back in SEP2020. You are able to continue to use your old short ID with mobile banking apps (but not internet login via browser). I think many users does not seem to aware of this as many users just simply activate figure print to login.

Recipient has to be unique for the entire duration of the promo? Or unique for the week?
Also, each week starts and ends on which day for this promo?

Damn annoying! Today the freaking PayAnyone app decides to prompt for OTP verification. Then on top of this, I keep getting session time out after entering the OTP. Restart the phone, waited for awhile and tried again to finally verified OTP. *&^%$#@! And it’s not over. Now, every time I launch the app, I get this nagging scam alert that requires me to acknowledge it before I can use the app. Hey @OCBC Bank, just because 790 account holders are not vigilant, you penalise the rest. Please stop introducing unnecessary steps for me to do my transactions which don’t actually solve the problem. :mad:

Thanks for sharing. Their recent release version is causing so much problem. I have uninstalled the mobile app and wait for in front ppl help them test to find their software bug and iron out. No time to be guinea pig for them they should have their own IT QA team to test thoroughly before release. If other bank IT can do it, it only mean OCBC either outsourced IT vendor or in-house IT have very mediocre technical skillset.

Wait until you turn to get scam and lost gour saving. Come back and tell us how you feel. Scammer techniqe changing all the time. Other we need to stay vigilant, banks and any payment syatem also need to improve on their security.

I believe affected customer is more then 790. Saw some FB messages, some did not get compensated as phishing site is lead from FB page.
