Hi OCBC,

I just switched over my daily banking to you guys from DBS, and generally think its a bit better (since ATMs are always much less crowded and can withdraw $10 notes). However, have the following issues:

1) Internet banking response time is slow... compared to other bank's internet banking platforms which I have used (DBS, Stanchart, UOB), your website takes 0.5-1 second to respond once i click vs 0.1 second or so for the other banks.. its tolerable but somewhat annoying.

It has some snazzy features but no point when things are so slow to respond.

2) OCBC 360 account gimmick - GIRO Salary payments have to be GIRO-SALARY or no 1% extra interest.. unfortunately my company uses GIRO-IBG or something.. so no extra interest for me . It's not like I can go and tell my boss to switch to some other payment method just for me too..

So far I am just about satisfied enough to stay with OCBC, however it is definitely not head and shoulders better than the competition...

Hi,

How do you change the account, from which BCIP GIROes out?

Currently, I put my Plus Saving account to syphon money out for BCIP purchase. I want BCIP to syphon money out from my new 360 account (for maintenance reasons). How do I change this?

Note: my BCIP account is also very new, not a single purchase performed yet (may be next month 22nd, it will make its first purchases).

Hi Ocbc,

May I know how long does it take to received my ibanking token and activation letter for the iOCBC online platform? It has been a month since I went down to the branch to open the frank account with debit card. I've received my frank debit card and account opening letter two weeks in but not the i-banking stuffs. Frank account with debit card does come with i-banking service right? At least that is what the staff who handled my request said. Please advise..

u got internet banking? do a FAST to your normal bank a/c and use atm to withdraw from there, it is immediate, u want for ocbc atm, how u withdraw NOW? hahaha

You can definitely request for an ATM card. And the fastest way would be at any of our branches. Please remember to bring along your NRIC for verification!

If you already have an existing ATM card, you can link up the new 360 to your card at any of our ATMs.

Can someone advise me. .
If I maintained 50k inside for the whole month, what would the interest credited in on the 1st of next month? ? Eg.. The 0.05%?
Is it the same amount regardless of 30 days in a month or 31 days in a month? ?

The base interest of 0.5%p.a. applies to your 360 account, regardless whether you fulfill the other bonus interests or not.

Just like other savings accounts, we look at the day end balance of your account, everyday. And credit the earned interest at the end of the month.

So if you withdraw and deposit funds everyday, the interest earned will be different everyday.
