Went down to playurconsoles the other day to get my phone checked and the person told me my battery only bloat a little and recommended me not to change cause bo hua.

But now my top right corner dangling out and whenever I apply too much pressure the colors of the lcd will "bend" around the middle. Feel a bit insecure leh :( this phone served me damn well for 2 years alr

edit
Saw on this blog that official Apple service centres doing 1-for-1 exchange for bloated batteries even though alr out of warranty.

Update:

Just went down to QCD at Wheelock to get my iPhone exchanged. Even though already out of warranty (using it for 2 years already), the person checked that it was due to battery bloating and exchanged 1-for-1 with me. No question asked.:)

Does this program extends to those ip5 with bad physical outlook? N how abt those who repaired outside before? I checked my serial number on Apple website, my ip5 not in the battery recall program, can I just tell them my battery no good n request an exchange?

just go down and give it a try, see what the serviceman have to say.

my 2yrs+ ip5 already having faulty/unresponsive sleep/wake button and home button with quite afew of scratches and dent ...then battery bloated...totally worth the 1-1 exchange:D

Went down to QCD today to try my luck and as it turned out, luck was on my side. Got the 1-for-1 iPhone replacement even though my serial no. was not included in Apple's website.

Anyway, QCD will try to replace your battery first and if they really cannot put back the screen, they will replace a new one.

My previous iPhone5 has got cracked camera lens and small dents around the edges. and now everything's back to new!

replaced one for one @wheelock

I had mine changed last week as well. worth trying. got a replacement iPhone 5 with 1 yr warranty. as long as your phone is not banged up really badly and your battery is bloated, you should be able to get the replacement.

If my battery isn't bloated but I feel there's issues with the battery e.g cannot fully charge/auto reboot issue. Should I bring it down to A.LAB/QCD to try my luck for 1-1 exchbage?
