[Help] My PC cannot start

When I press the power button,

The fan behind spins for 1 second then stops

No spooling up sounds of any kind like it's supposed to have

No beep sounds

What's the problem?

Power supply faulty

I hav this problem too, but last time i noob even bring the mb down for exchange/repair and they test it on the spot no issue but i bring back fix back still same, tat how i conclude i hav a bad power supply

Can try a skeleton boot of the mobo....that mean... minimum device....only a stick of ram, processor and use the on board video-out if there is.

Some PC the CMOS battery drained already cannot start. I experienced this on a few PCs already. I dunno why also.

me too.

i experienced several times. first time didnt know, bought new mb to replace.

now this is the first thing i check.

after putting in the new battery, do a clear cmos operation first.

last would be the mobo

that's why i always got a spare of all the listed parts above for testing.... except the mobo 😬

mine laptops turn on the socket doesnt even responds.
neh change anytings.

second one to die using same sockets

Can be motherboard or power supply issue.

Normally when desperate I will clear cmos or change battery. If cannot work, I will reseat the components one by one with the minimum items plugged in, meaning the USB devices disconnected, except mouse n keyboard.

Either power supply or motherboard.
