Indeed, If I can I don't really want to use our public hospital services, but sometimes certain lab works are not available elsewhere.The lipids specialist in public hospital and the heart specialist in pte practice both cited 'highly hereditary' for his case (and didnt order any additional gene test).
*I 'dont trust' the lipids specialist 100% and so got him out for second opinion in pte practice coz to start statin is a major decision for such a young person (who is 'seemingly' healthy').
The doctor in attendance don't even want to give his name, this is the standard we have become.
If can afford definitely go pte practice is the best.
The lipids specialist & cardiologist is only looking at their specialty while we have to consider the overall health and where the biggest risk factor is , for example, Diabetes has among the highest HR compared to say LDL.
