Based off their spec sheets, yes it seems the U7G is better since 120hz and HDMI 2.1 isn't your priority and especially when the contrast ratio is 4000:1 compared to the 1600:1 on the U7H that alone is pretty disappointing if we compare it to not only the U7G but other brands at the similar price point. I'm curious if the Local Dimming implementation could save the U7H and boost contrast significantly, but we'll never know since RTINGs and HDTVTest are unlikely to review this variant.

IMO they should have named these TVs differently instead as it can cause confusion and mislead people regardless if the variant is better or worse. Imagine people in the US seeing reviews of the SG or Europe variants while some of us see reviews of the US variants thinking they are all the same TV. A recipe for buyer's remorse and return/refunds.

Yeah similarly ordered the 55U7G from the Laz birthday sale. Got it at $792 after all the coupons, bonus and what not. U.P. $998.

Congrats to the both of you, $792 is a an insanely great price for a VA Panel, Quantum Dot Filter and Full Array Local Dimming system TV even if we're unable to get actual data of the TV from critic reviews.

Was considering between the U7G and iffalcon k72. The iffalcon was a tad cheaper after factoring in all discount and their sets are running on android tv os. But i think the FALD on U7G would be a bigger bonus and i can make do without android tv os since i already have my own tv box for content streaming.

Use dynamic color. Put brightness and contrast higher.

Try searching youtube for "U7G best settings". There sld be a few videos on settings to get better picture quality but note these are done on US variant sets running native 120hz panel so i don't know if you will get the same results on our SG variant sets.

I ordered this yesterday based on limited research the price point was right to me and I definitely trust Hisense over Prism. I don't have much experience with televisions but will post my review from as a layman.

If you do not require 120hz refresh rate and simply want the cheapest bang for buck TV, get the U7G.

Just be aware like others have noticed and mentioned in this thread, Hisense Singapore is not selling the same TVs offered in the US so reviews from RTINGs are irrelevant as they review the US models while we get the SG models.

Hi guys. Just wanna share.

I pre-ordered the HiSense U7H 65" from Lazada for $1,712. After applying the 04/04 discounts. I think that's cheap with all the features it comes with.

Will deliver by end May. Which is a really long time. But they offered to T-loan me a U7G in the mean time. Really good customer service if they uphold what they say.

Brave soul to take the plunge on the U7H with nothing to go on other than paper specification. But yar....the features you get for the price is quite unbeatable.

My U7G got delivered last weekend and so far i am more than happy with it, so much so i am keeping it in my bedroom when it was originally intended for use in the living room. The first HDR10/DV tv i own so i am rewatching a bunch of shows and enjoying them in splendor of hdr quality.

Hisense's customer service is top notch. They called to inform delivery date and they called again on the very day prior to delivery. The only complain i have is the bundled free 3 mths netflix subscription is quite dodgy. You have to submit an email address to hisense and they set up a netflix account for you and give you the password. Weirdly, i then received a confirmation email from netflix stating the subscription was paid in turkish lira.

I've been watching a lot of reviews on Hisense TVs in the past and always wondered when it will make its way to our shores. It seems like their products are really bang for the buck, and the reviews are more often than not good...

Was initially taking the plunge on the TCL R646 but a lot of reports on buggy interface so held back....now looking forward to Hisense since now available locally with warranty...

But the U7H hisense bringing in to SG is running on vidaa instead of android tv os so if they bring in U8H likely to be the same too. On my U7G i can notice abit of lag when transitioning between different option menus. Otherwise the loading of the various pre-installed apps(netflix, youtube) is snappy. The biggest issue i have come across so far is when playing media files off thumbdrive plugged into usb on the tv, the default media player interface doesn't have an option to directly delete files from thumbdrive. Also, it can't recognize drives formatted to exFat, only Fat32 or NTFS.

Also worth noting that Hisense is not some no name oem-rebadged brand like Prism+. They have been around for quite some time but its only recently whereby they started selling official SG warranty set on shopee and lazada.

My old bedroom tv which i shifted to the living room, was a Hisense parallel import set bought 6 years ago.

I did remember the listing for 65' was under pre-order only but its worth the wait lar. Honestly i don't really watch much of netflix or youtube so for me no issue whether vidaa or android. As for the Hisense oled model on pre-order, i tried googling it and there is literally zero info apart from the lazada listing. God knows where Hisense SG getting their stock from lol. Hisense vs LG oled = 55' vs 48' at roughly similar price point. Maybe Hisense trying to win through size lol.
