Brave soul to take the plunge on the U7H with nothing to go on other than paper specification. But yar....the features you get for the price is quite unbeatable.

My U7G got delivered last weekend and so far i am more than happy with it, so much so i am keeping it in my bedroom when it was originally intended for use in the living room. The first HDR10/DV tv i own so i am rewatching a bunch of shows and enjoying them in splendor of hdr quality.

Hisense's customer service is top notch. They called to inform delivery date and they called again on the very day prior to delivery. The only complain i have is the bundled free 3 mths netflix subscription is quite dodgy. You have to submit an email address to hisense and they set up a netflix account for you and give you the password. Weirdly, i then received a confirmation email from netflix stating the subscription was paid in turkish lira.

Sounds like they bought Netflix off a third party site selling cd keys

I'm just looking at the U7H as the US variant of the U7G coming with 120Hz and all.

I did remember the listing for 65' was under pre-order only but its worth the wait lar. Honestly i don't really watch much of netflix or youtube so for me no issue whether vidaa or android. As for the Hisense oled model on pre-order, i tried googling it and there is literally zero info apart from the lazada listing. God knows where Hisense SG getting their stock from lol. Hisense vs LG oled = 55' vs 48' at roughly similar price point. Maybe Hisense trying to win through size lol.

The only Oled worth going for is LG and Samsung imo. My issue is with the longevity of an Oled. If a renowned brand oled can kaput within a few years. What more the lesser known brands.

I probably not going to use the Vidaa platform, bought the Nvidia Shield TV Tube instead for my streaming use. (seeing online reviews, should have gone for the shield pro instead). Also, some local apps like Mewatch are not available on the Vidaa platform yet.

By the way, I saw Hisense Oled models released for preorder at Lazada. The price is very unattractive haha. You can top up just abit to get LG C1 Oled.

Nvidia shield is so awesome. I'm using it too currently. No lag or delay whatsoever.

We can't rely on their US models. Each country has different specs with the same model name. Very weird marketing.

Previously when i was checking taobao, hisense even have PRO models exclusive to their china domestic market only. Think hisense SG have to take the blame for jumping the gun and without absolute confirmation, give info that they will bring in like for like US variant models announced back at CES. But should have knew it was too good to be true.

I think Hisense overall needs to reconsider on how they tackle the global markets. Releasing different variants into different markets can be quite confusing to customers, especially if the TV models are all using the same name.

Also, for those not aware, U7G 55" and 65" are using VA panel (contrast ratio 4000/5000:1) . U7G 75" is using IPS panel (contrast ratio 1200:1).

Looking at the specs for the U7H series, likely all models are using IPS panel. Interested buyers may want to verify with the staff rep to confirm.

Sellers may not know or deliberately not tell you either..
So do your own homework..

I decided to do some reading on this, and it seems that Disney+ should be available for VIDAA...

It seems to "suggest" it is launching...but can't find any actual user confirmation that they have installed Disney+ on their latest Hisense models.

I did email Hisense, and their CSO also said that Disney+ is available on their VIDAA platform but i take that with a pinch of salt though....

Just bought the U7G myself, can confirm it comes with disney+. If anyone interested for reviews, I think U7QF in europe has the closest display to this model.

You getting a lot of visual technologies with the U7G compared to mainstreams brands costing a lot more. If you not sure what or how to use those technologies, better off to save quite a bit with the lower A7 or others instead.

Also while Hisense is not mainstream here but I just knew it has been in US for over 10 years, looking at the amazon user reviews. The 2019 sets onwards appear to go after the higher end mainstram brands.

My short answer is the picture quality is excellent. And the sound quality is much above average too that I didn't bother to hook up the old soundbar (coming from longtime user of Triluminos and S-Force, and the excellent sound of ancient Toshiba Regza TVs).

Only remaining question is the durability.

Can share your picture settings for U7G? So far my biggest issue is with motion and skin tones. There are ghosting effect especially on scenes with quick motion of faces at close up. For skin tones, if i adjust till all colours look correct, the skin tones will look overly red. If i adjust till skin tones look correct, everything else will get too pale. For now im just letting people look sunburnt.

IMO if you are considering LG C1, that means you should have the budget for it. And if you have the budget for it, then by all means go for it. Hisense oled models are a total unknown quantity. For the money you are paying, best to stay with the tried and tested. Also apparently major electronic stores out there are starting to clear C1 to make way for C2. So you can try your luck and ask for better pricing for the C1.
