IPS panel, according to Hisense SG. U8HQ though, may be VA panel.

Today took the plunge to grab U8H 75 inch at $2,599 from Courts with $100 Courts Voucher.

Hisense Promotion. Better than Lazada vouchers 6% or Shopee.

Coming from C7 Oled last me 6 years.

Only drawback is VIDAA. If can flash Google TV into it. Will be best.
Wow sounds like a fantastic deal. I have been browsing the U8H 65" on Lazada. Do you know how much is courts selling it for?

$2,299 label for 65 inch. Can try asking for some discount. Quite similar to Lazada and Shopee. You can highlight for the cashback from online store to get better deal.

Courts comes with mounting, disposal and delivery.

Gt a free hdmi 2.0 cable. Asked for hdmi 2.1 don't have.

Hey guys, I'm considering a 65" TV from Hisense but is really new to the brand.

Noticed there's U,A,E models, can anybody tell me which is most value for money?

Usually watch free to air TV, no gaming, thank you.

U8h is IPS with 180 dimming zone.
Overall bright but not as deep black as VA and Oled.

Compared to X90K Is brighter but color lose abit.

I think SG U8H similar to U8GQ with upgraded hdmi 2.1 and processor.

Oh, I read quite a bit of the posts here before posting but most of the chatter seems to be on the higher end models.

So I'm interested to know if there's a big difference if I don't game and just watch FTA channels.

Will U8H beat Samsung QLED hands down?
Am considering U8H vs Q60C or The Frame LS03B.

I think E7H the YouTube dark scene lose some details. The demo in court look brilliant. Initially want to grab that because of Google TV and demo. But after YouTube video. I go back to U8H.

For daily use and not much dark scene and bright room. I think E7H can consider.

Somemore is Google TV can install Revanced no ads.. Vidaa I don't like because cannot load 3rd party.

In that case, what else can I consider?

Prism, iFalcon, Xiaomi better?

How's Sharp? Seems like some models are priced pretty good.
Not sure liao. With P735 and A6H having the same price, I personally will choose the former. E7H, A7G & U6H are already costing more. I'm not into Prism, iFalcon, Xiaomi, etc. coz I believe they're either offering lower visual PQ or just as lacking in support. Sharp may offer some good bargains, but I'm not familiar - you'll just have to shop around too pick out the worthy offers. Philips should offer good support, but may not be as cheap for the same features. Big 3 brands will mostly be better but more expensive, unless you don't mind trying your luck with parallel imports. If so, try Sevamall from Lazada - lots of nice models to choose from.

Anyway, for your FTA non-gaming needs, the P735 is plenty.

That's exactly the dilemma, P735 is most value for money but worry about support.

However if the TV can last 3 years think worth the money already.

I will check out Sevamall, thanks.

I'm currently using a 3 year-old, lowest-end Philips 4K 65" TV ... PUT6023/98. No HDR, no WCG, low brightness with IPS glare, slow pixel response times, etc. Yet, I'm pretty happy with it most of the time, coz I'm also mostly streaming FTA stuff from my PC and TV box. I tore a HDMI port through my carelesness, but Philips SG support promtly advised me how to rectify the problem. 3+ years already, but no problem. I use Vivid mode most of the time to minimize brightness and color vibrancy shortcomings. At night, I dim down the panel to reduce the IPS glow in order to get deeper blacks. The only 2 problems I can't overcome are (i) gaming and fast-action movies and donghua causing motion blur and (ii) annoying subtitles blooming in darker scenes. These are the only two situations where I wish I've spent a bit more for a better TV with faster pixel response times and contrast.

So, give Philips a look, if support is a concern.

Also, my last mid-range Samsung lasted me 13 years. Well worth the higher price!

My R635, which I bought in 2021, has just developed a slight flicker with a bit of discoloring when it does. Already tried the factory reset, turn on and off. Nothing works. Its not very obvious, but it does affect the viewing experience. :(

Got it from dailybasic, yah I read the complaints, but now trying to get to their tech support first and see can repair or not. Anyway to reach them besides their carousell, shopee, lazada shop profiles?
