Hisense UX finally available for sale with 2500 nits

the U7K seems to be too close to Samsung and LG oled sets so the prices seems to have become less competitive and appealing

I hear that certain model comes with dirty screen and while it’s widely known, there is no recall. You need to log a call with the friendly support desk and they will most certainly help you out most times

Found an issue since the firmware update. Now when playing videos using the built in media player application, the videos are stretched to fill the full screen instead of maintaining aspect ratio. So lets say for 16:9 videos the black bars are no longer visible but the stretch to fill seems to cause some cropping of the video to occur. Aspect ratio setting is blacked out and can't be adjusted when using the media player.
I use the built in media player to play 4k encoded videos since my tv box cant decode such files so this is a really irritating problem to have.

someone report tis issue to hisense aus support and got new fw to solve
u may1 try or research more

Nah....dont want to take the risk of tinkering with firmware. I just circumvent the issue by playing my movie files on a separate tv box. Stupid really because no idea why they had to go change something which wasn't even broke in the 1st place.

Vidaa app does not have Viu? (u6k pro )
U7G latest firmware added Viu app to the app store. Honest opinion, if you are looking for specific apps then best to avoid sets running on Vidaa OS. I been waiting for them to add MeWatch until neck long long. Faster and simpler to just go out and get a $20-30 tv box and sideload the apps you need. Crux of the matter is the sets Hisense SG bring in are models manufactured for middle eastern or other parts of south east asia so the default apps and firmware is not specifically targeted for SG use.

If those specs are correct, E7K looks like a downgrade of the E7H. Also, no guarantee SG version will be of the same specs as these overseas variants. Hisense SG likes to use IPS panels instead of VA panels, plus some other specs downgrades of their US models. Our 2022 U8H is a prime example of that!
Good luck with Hisense TVs! 😜
