Bought a BMB amp DAX-1000SEII and BMB Speakers CSX-1000SE 12” 3 way /5 speakers for my resale 5I living room .

With this setup work ?
And do I still need a karaoke Sub ?

Is the popsical remix review good? If buying this simple things (just a donut and 2 mics) install then can use?

I feel PA speakers are the way to go for karaoke too. Have been using PA speakers since 2010.

They are able to take quite a fair bit of abuse in the live sound setting, i did blew 1 or 2 speakers and amplifiers before but was my neglience.

Though i dont sing, i use them for karaoke when friends come over and they wanna sing. (And also for my relative who keeps boasting to me that his sound system is loud)

Hello mypillowtalks, wondering if I can seek your advise? It just happen that our home is trying to setup a KTV System for the living room, and just nice we already have a Yamaha Stagepas 600i PA system. More or less already shortlisted a few possibilities for the source for the KTV songs (Powerhouse or MB karaoke Touchscreen box; or buy from TB).
Mic wise we may use wired Shure mics for now, but looking to change to wireless in the future.

Our problem is wondering if we still need an amplifier in between?
And also we need those kinda of machine/hardware or something to let us change the keys or pitch of the music, but not quite sure what they are called, so can’t even Google for them.

Will be grateful if you can give us some advise or recommendations.

Hi, May I know how do you subscribe WeSing 全民K歌 for TV? I’ve tried to subscribe using the sg cc but was unable to do so. The tv app was fine but recently after an update, it limited the singing to only 5 songs per day. I also have the free mobile version.

In the end WeSing 全民K歌 still has the best collection of songs. It does require China VPN to activate the original singer vocals (原唱) and it does require wechat pay.

If you have Singapore CC linked to your wechat account, you can try to pay that. Not so sure whether it will work or not.

I am using AJS VPN (paid, RMB198 or S$40 for one year) with WeSing (not paid, free version) on mobile and on TV. You can try the free Transocks VPN with WeSing on the mobile first to see how you like it before paying either one. You can pay Transocks using Google Play store (not cheap at S$60.98 per year).

Changba, Duochang and AngelSing support Alipay or WeChat Pay. They do not need VPN. But their free version is quite limited.

I have paid Duochang (RMB99 for one year) on the TV. It is not bad actually but not as good as wesing in terms of feature and song collection.

AngelSing latest version on TV does not seem to work for me on my Mi Box S, only the older version works.

Changba is good in terms of features but lose to WeSing in terms of song collection.

Payment is the tough part without proper wechat pay account. There are people in the Alipay thread who claims to be able to help top up Alipay. You may want to check there to see if they can pay for you as well using wechat pay.

If not going for those integrated karaoke systems, how to combine the audio output of say a PC with mics to amplifier and TV?

I have 2 existing dynamic Shure mics with XLR to 1/4 jacks

I have an integrated Denon amp with home theatre speakers.

Pc -> RCA -> Mixer
Mics -> 1/4 inch to Mixer
Mixer -> RCA out to Denon Amp ?

Will these types of mixer do ?

Then HDMI direct from pc to TV? ( Usually all my HDMI inputs feed into the amplifier and single HDMI out to TV )

Is a physical hardware from taobao. I got the 15.6 inch model ( which is plenty big ) Costs around 400+ SGD

I dunno how to delete. but streaming off the cloud for some of the newer titles was near instantaneous as if playing off the device harddisk. ( On Lan connection )

Check the cable connection again make sure not loose, or else maybe u r overdriving the soundbar internal amplifier beyond limits, causing it to send a clipped signal to the speakers

Thanks bro, unlikely loose connection as i have transferred to another TV to try but still same result.... I made sure all connections were put in properly.

Noted on the internal amplifier.. Rather disappointing as i bought a higher-end soundbar to ensure it will work great but seems still not enough..

Hello, can anyone recommend a soundbar for Popsical Remix? My Samsung R550 seems to crackle/distort at higher singing volume... I thought a higher end soundbar would be compatible but facing this issue.

I saw a lot of recommendations for PA speakers but looking for something like a soundbar as it looks better in my living room.

The Moment Gen2 seems a bit small and quite ex at $569.. Prefer a longer/slimmer looking soundbar.

Any advice please?
