Let me try! Thank you bro! For M8 Pro, have to go to dev option to enable the 5G-SA? forced it?
There's only the following options bro :
1. Auto (default)
2. NSA
3. SA+NSA

Mine is enabled option 3.

China phones are well known to have way better reception, try it and you will know it.

Having owned phones across the various brands, CN honor and vivo phones have one of the best signal reception with iphone being the worst followed by Samsung.

Tested and proven, reception also plays a huge role in terms of battery life.
I think you are referring to those sell in China market. Global or the so call iMDA approved model is required to tune to required telecom standard before they can get approval.

Though that's is part of to SoC and basically every SD processor is the same as long as it is same series.
They got special chip to enhance the signal.

HONOR C1+

For Universal Connection

HONOR C1+ RF Enhanced Chip combines algorithm and Antenna for better connection, allowing to roam the world with powerful hardware and software features. Always online, perfect for international travelling.

Refer to this link. RF signal need to comply with Telco standard. There is also no special chip.

In text (in simplicity, never get cheated but those nice advertisment). Be very careful, 4 bars in displayed in A brand phone does not necessary means it has stronger reception vs B brand phone that has 3 bars.

Short answer: No — Honor phones do not use a “special” or unique RF chip that other brands don’t have.
But they do put extra engineering into RF performance, which is why many users feel Honor phones have strong signal reception.
Here’s the clearer breakdown 👇
1. RF chips: standard suppliers
Honor phones use mainstream cellular RF components, similar to other brands:
Modem & RF system
Qualcomm (Snapdragon platforms)
MediaTek (Dimensity platforms)
RF front-end components
Qualcomm RF Front End (QFE)
Skyworks
Qorvo
Murata
Broadcom
👉 There is no proprietary “Honor-only RF chip” that magically boosts signal.
2. What Honor does differently (important part)
Honor inherits a lot of Huawei-era RF expertise, and they focus heavily on system-level RF design, including:
🔹 Antenna design
Multiple high-gain antennas
Smart antenna switching depending on grip, orientation, and band
Better isolation to reduce hand-blocking (“death grip” issues)
🔹 AI & software optimization
AI signal tuning to dynamically adjust:
Transmit power
Antenna selection
MIMO paths
Real-time optimization for weak-signal environments (lifts, basements, MRT)
🔹 RF layout & materials
Careful PCB layout to reduce RF loss
Better shielding and low-loss antenna materials
Frame design that helps rather than blocks antennas
3. Honor marketing terms you may see
These are not chips, but engineering solutions:
HONOR C1+ / C2 RF Enhancement Chip (older Huawei/Honor era)
These were auxiliary RF management ICs, not modems
Today their functions are mostly integrated into modern SoCs and software
Link Turbo / Signal Enhancement Engine
Software + antenna coordination
Works across cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
4. Real-world result
Why people say Honor signal is “strong”:
✔ Better reception in low-signal areas
✔ More stable data rates when moving
✔ Faster recovery when switching cells
✔ Less drop when holding phone tightly
But it’s engineering + tuning, not a secret chip.
5. Bottom line
❌ No unique RF chip exclusive to Honor
✅ Uses standard Qualcomm / MediaTek RF hardware
✅ Strong RF performance comes from antenna design, software tuning, and Huawei-legacy RF know-how
If you want, tell me which Honor model you’re asking about (e.g. Magic5, Magic6, X series) and whether you care more about 4G, 5G, or indoor signal — I can give a more model-specific explanation 📶

I’m just saying what honor is advertising … you don’t need WOT for me … got effects or not, doesn’t affect me … signal is superb for me so far

Lol, it's obvious the way you search insinuates that honor uses some magic exclusive tech. It's just semantics.

Although chatgpt did say this:-

C1+ is a chip because it is a discrete piece of silicon (an IC) with its own logic, power domain, and interfaces on the phone’s PCB.
It is not just software, firmware branding, or a renamed block inside the Snapdragon/MediaTek SoC.

Regardless, they did put extra emphasis in order to improve this aspect of the phone. I don't think anyone claim that it's an SoC on it's own, and if it's all just antenna arrangement, I don't think they'd be allowed to call it C1+ or C2 chip.

I mean, I'm always open to being corrected, but chatgpt tend to contradict itself v often. So, hopefully there are more concrete sources.

I understand the skepticism, like one plus has the 3-chip system and their LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM. The RAM, something that MKBHD even mentioned like it's legit, so I tried finding out why no other phone is using the latest and greatest, but what I found is just the same RAM, but overclocked. Still a positive, but slightly underwhelming.

Lol, chatgpt might be wrong de leh..

You can refer to the picture below, the circle part is the c1+ proprietary, RF-enhanced chip designed by Honor.

China hardware de signal reception really much better than google Samsung and iphone... I always need to tether my network to these buddies overseas... For many years already lol...
