The call record icon now appears during a phone call. Just enable it and it works just like the Vivo. You can't have auto recording like the Oppo though.

Yes can't be helped about the announcement. Under global rom, this is required. Same as Oppo and Vivo. There's no announcement for China rom though. But I'm glad it's just there.
Honor is the last one to implement it.
