Reviewing the Honor Magic 8 Lite, a budget-friendly mid-range smartphone boasting some of the best battery tech at this price, plus a 108MP camera and surprising gaming performance. I've been testing this MagicOS phone all week so here's my Honor Magic 8 Lite verdict, stay tuned for a Pro review soon!

This near 6.8-inch mobile looks like its flagship sibling but sports a more budget design. You've got several upgrades vs the 7 Lite, including an even more massive 7500mAh battery, one of the biggest of any mid-range mobile. No surprise then that the Honor Magic 8 Lite is one of the top budget battery blowers as we hit 2026.

I've also spent this week testing out the dual lens camera and here's some photo and video samples, showing what this smartphone is capable of. It's limited for sure, but not bad. Likewise I've been doing a fair bit of gaming on Wuthering Waves, and the results are slightly surprising from that upgraded Snapdragon 6 Gen 4.

Sadly it's once again old Android and Magic OS 9 on here, with limited software support looming. If you can cope with that and MagicOS' quirks, you'll find a lot to love here.

Your XFold 5 is CN rom or global? Dunno whether global one have been updated to Origin OS...

I bought an anti-fingerprint casing and able to cover fully the back camera from TB. Now I find the casing texture too smooth till I worry the phone will slip out of my hand when using with one hand. Now looking to get other casing.

Oooo. Yea, it's feels quite nice on the hand. The curve screen is quite acceptable for me, considering I always prefer flat.

I was wondering did I made a mistake buying the phone but never unboxed and use lol. For those who bought it and was using other Android phones, especially Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro, how is this phone? Still miss the Sky Cyan color though.

I does have nay oppo and vivo. But i love the size of the m8p, just right for me to use in one hand.
battery life also not bad

Hmm, it's possible. This phone is better than my Samsung in terms of signal strength, and most reviews out there, even the official introduction event show stronger signal strength than iphone. And chances are, most of the other people in the group all using iphone.

And in terms of chip, majority of ppl are using iphone or Samsung. Both aren't using latest SD chip. And so far, not many phones promote about their special chips that increase signal strength.
