@Globe

it is understandable that they don't reveal on the disassembly process either prefer customers to repair the phone at their authorized service centre, or to absolve any responsibilites in case the wrong advice is given.

but the irony is the authorized service centre dont provide SP changing service.

yea , well aware of the irony. even thou the whole line bubble, there is no clear gap which i can go in and even start the self removal process.

just waiting for honor to reply.

i am anticipating removing the sp myself , hoping it doesnt F up the screen and bring it naked to the shop and apply the 3rd party SP.

if you set the honor apps to Malaysia, does it allow you to contact the CSO?

i had communicated with china cso numerous times through the honor apps. mine is a china v2.

for huawei, i had communicate with both the chinese and malaysia cso through the my huawei apps as well. just need to change the country settings.

both huawei and honor system are very similar.

Honor Singapore under Telechoice and Malaysia under U Companion. Looked like different vendor.

umm im talking about the service centre. SG Honor service centre is outsourced to IX mobile

https://www.honor.com/sg/support/service-center/

as for MY Honor service centre, I dont see any info that it is outsourced to anyone. furthermore, MY Honor listed the spare parts price on their website, hence most likely the Service Centre is managed by Honor themselves.

Which is why I am speculating that Honor users will be able to communicate with MY Honor CSO through the apps, if we set it to MY region. You guys holding the global version can try it out. My CN V2 is fixed to China region, and I can only speak to CN CSO.

My experience with my CN Huawei apps is that I was able to communicate with CN and MY CSO through the apps.

Telechoice and U Companion are just authorized reseller for Honor devices in SG and MY respectively. This is was i gathered from online.

Wrong. Telechoice is FSD for HONOR SG.
HONOR MY is direct run by HONOR CN.

U Companion is an authorised reseller for HONOR Malaysia.
Authorized reseller is not the same as FSD.

bro, just witnessed Shenzhen Honor staff replacing my screen protector.

basically, they used a razor to peel the corner, and slowly pull the screen protector off. they did not use any alcohol during the removal process. however they did use alcohol to remove the glue residue.

the pasting process is quite elaborate, as they have a special device to secure the phone, paste and roll the new screen protector. after that, they will place the phone into a vacuum machine to remove any bubble.

but i think a trained ah beng will do the pasting job well, and if they have a vacuum machine, that will be a bonus.

recently bored of my iphone again thinking of getting this.

From the looks of it fold 6 will still have narrow front, so probably not gonna wait for it.

Is it worth it to get this phone now? Been thru fold 3 4, oppo find n3 and end of the day will come back to iphone cause of battery life.

v2 have the biggest battery 5000mAh among all foldables launch in SG market today, so theoretically it should last longer but dont think its on par with iphone 15 pro max

yea main problem is android's battery efficiency, if using then battery life actually not that much better than say the oppo find n3, but when not in use ios can have 50% left for my usage in the evening but android usually at its usual level eg, 30%

Hi Guys, AFAIK, to use GPay via NFC, you could either:
1) at Lock Screen, swipe up then tap then produce your fingerprint to authenticate
2) unlock phone, then straight away tap

No.1 seems to be quite secure but have to tap, produce fingerprint, then it will go through
No2. does this mean if my phone is unlocked, technically it will process any NFC payment? ie i unlock phone to use, then some criminal use his paywave machine to tap against the phone.

any other way of NFC payment? I find that One UI quite good, swipe up, produce fingerprint, then tap.

Let me know your thoughts
