How to afford basic HDB housing

How about can afford (with losing affordability with time lapses and aging) but lovely stick with parents till death part types without action on any housing purchase ?

Mindset is set type ?

I think property ownership for SG is one of the highest in the world. Most couples even earning $3-4k each combine income plus all the govt subsidies shld comfortably afford a HDB

I used to have the mindset of staying with my mum for life since I was a single , only child too till I got married

Applied BTO twice for 4r at punggol, both within supply , anticipated some city fringe location months before the next BTO exercise and decided not to attend the selection for punggol
Ballot for a 3r since we couldn't afford for a 4r flat, better to stay near office to save an hour of commute daily

People were asking why I didn't get a 4r, I told them I don't want to get stressed over paying $2k out of $7k salary for housing and worry about losing my job
We are currently paying $1k on a 25 years loan tenure, at least the MSR is below 15%

Anxious to see the selling price in another 15 months and would BTO again for location that is even nearer to the office

If lose my job, at least the current 3r flat is able to cover for the 2nd BTO

Of course one has to do their diligence before deciding which BTO location to eye for

Without job or job that pays off 20 years ago monthly salary of few hundreds to 3k ?

No job, better to apply for hdb rental flats pay about 100 a month only
