For me,
1. I listen to music everyday. It calms the mind and brings me to another world instantly.

2. Do not compare with more successful people.

3. Keeping my thoughts - all the time - on positive things, e.g. plan where to eat, find a thing that is going well to indulge in, like playing Pickleball etc

4. Long term, embracing a religion and knowing my purpose in life.

The mind is the BIGGEST enemy. Usually the circumstance is not that dire. Just that our minds make us think it is.

i love music but don't listen every day

2. Do not compare with more successful people.
i always compare myself to successful ppl eg elon musk and trump. then hope my kids learn from them and be inspired or entertained. i don't get depressed even though i am an utter failure in comparison

3. Keeping my thoughts - all the time - on positive things, e.g. plan where to eat, find a thing that is going well to indulge in, like playing Pickleball etc
i think about negative things all the time to learn from it. so when i kena hoot, i think and find ways to deal with every hoot, 1 hoot at a time

4. Long term, embracing a religion and knowing my purpose in life.
same here but i embrace satan

No.4 can skip... quite sad need religion to know your purpose n existence.

Let me rephrase it for you. Usually the sad people are those without a religion. They are like a rudderless ship, subject to the waves and tides of a rough ocean. Tossing and turning. Sometimes happy, sometimes not. They dunno their destination in life and where they are going.
