pricing wise i think can use Hero's launch price as a reference.

hopefully, m1 is so pissed that starhub got exclusive rights to sell motorola milestone and at such a low price that they will price the Legend even more competitively.

singtel if selling Legend also should strike back at starhub for making their exclusive motorola dext a lousy deal now.

Revenge of the Droids!! (add lightsabre sound here) :D

i think that price is without contract. and suggested retail price most probably meant that is the maximum the price can go.

refer to the motorola milestone thread how fast its price came down within a couple of days. :)

The new HTC Hero will be available in Absolute white and Urban brown from mid September 2009 at all authorized resellers at a suggested retail price of S$898**. Standard retail HTC Hero package will come with a 2GB microSD™ card.

The RRP for legend is $100 lower than the Hero at launch. Sounds great..

The Hero launch price was quite high cos that was before the launch of Nexus One and was also before HTC dropped the prices of their phones due to the N1 since if ppl can buy the N1 at $800+, so they must adjust all the prices of their other lower end models downwards to put things in perspective.

So now they put the RRP of the Legend as nearly $800 probably because it's a new model compared to the N1, but smart ppl who will pay RRP will buy the N1 instead cos it's more worth it.

True....given N1 costs around +- $860 in total, it does makes sense to get N1 at RRP.

Now must see how much Desire costs, more fair comparison to N1.

Legend is more for those who value external looks and style.

MS = the milestone you mentioned previously :D

Ya it was sold cheap...... but it has plenty metal things to please me, for now that is :D

any reason for Milestone to be sold so cheap? higher monthly price?

I am contemplating between Milestone and Legend btw...considering both have generally the same spec and same external beauty (ie. metal :D). Anyone can suggest the good and bad between those two?

I also had some doubt with motorola brand initially...but they had success with V3 RAZR so i think can put some faith in them :)
