Gorilla screen ao easy to scratch? Did u put ur keys together with ur phone?

I think it's the metal logo on my wallet which scratched the screen.. .. ..

My U11 also have scratches on the back, after I left it naked on a glass table top.. hai.. maybe it's just me.. :s11:

The back scratches easily. I just wiped it abit before put in case got a small hairline scratch. Better not use naked for sure. Gonna sure be heart pain!

how to disable suggestions under "Settings" anyone?

This is controlled by the 'HTC Sense Companion' App, Open that App, head to the App's Settings Panel (three dots on the top-right corner). You'll see a switch next to the 'HTC Sense Companion' setting, simply switch that off and the suggestions will no longer appear (as you've disabled the service).

Word of caution: AVOID contacting the body of the U11/U11+ with ANY sharp object or edged item until you can install a 9H Screen Protector + TPU/Shock Protection case on it. I personally have to depend on a separate sling pouch to house the U11+ (which formerly is for my equally brittle ASUS Zenpad 8 and Sharp Z2) while on the move, which also allows me to carry its USonic Headphones, 3.5mm dongle as well as its charging accessories and a pre-owned Power Bank along with it. A bit of weight on the side but well worth the effort. As for what sling pouch I recommend? Just any Pasar Malam-kind of pouch you can buy would do, provided that they can be zipped up in case of rain! (I know that U11/U11+ is built for IP67/68 water resistance but never take crazy stormy weather for granted!)

I realise our local sets are running a pretty old firmware. 1.10 or something while the newer ones are 1.26 or something.

anyone know where can view u11+, bugis m1 only u11

Maybe the U11 can give you an idea on how the U11+ can work, since the display U11 Units there are getting the Android 8 Oreo Update, making them literally the smaller versions of the U11+ given that the U11 gets the exact same Edge Features the U11+ has when the update (OS and Firmware) is implemented.

I realise our local sets are running a pretty old firmware. 1.10 or something while the newer ones are 1.26 or something.

Updates hitting local U11/U11+ units will be months after Taiwan got theirs (HTC have released two firmware updates for the U11+ in Taiwan so far).

And if you think Singapore's HTC U11+ release is late, tell that to the India Indians! HTC India has released the U11+ in their market on 8th February on Flipkart at a price of INR56,990 (~SGD1,176.81) which is even more expensive than the Malaysian Translucent Black Edition. And the colour they're releasing over there: Amazing Silver. Kind of spreading the palette to one per South Asian market it seems...

U11+ South/Southeast Asian Releases so far:
Malaysia Version (22 Jan) - Translucent Black
Singapore Version (3 Feb) - Ceramic Black
India Version (8 Feb) - Amazing Silver
And yes, ALL THREE are confirmed to be the 6GB/128GB models.

Don't have this issue. Images produced are excellent.

It is so quite here. Does it mean not many U11+ owners or all owners are very satisfied with their new phones? Normally thread can also be long if got issue or complain. Please share your first impressions.

I'm sure there less than 50 ppl in sg bought this phone. And I'm one of them, all I can say is that I'm very satisfied with this phone. Nothing to complain about. Screen is decent enough, camera n music quality iantop notch. Other than finding case for this phone is damn hard, I don't find any other reasons to complain about.

Thanks for responding. How do you find the screen brightness when using the phone outdoor with bright sunlight?

Not the best, it's inferior compared to my Pixel 2 XL.

I wish there is a demo unit where I can assess if the brightness is acceptable for my day-to-day usage. Waiting for M1 shop to set it up.
