Y remove? Use until got scratch then replace ma.

Feels like glass sp to me.

I wanted to see if the screen had a scratch since purchase or is it just some dust trapped underneath the screen protector.

Wanted to check with Huawei users if their phones get updated with new firmware promptly? I think besides Google's own phones like Nexus and Pixel, most of the other manufacturers take a very long time to roll out any updates. Samsung is alrighty, but upgrading to a newer Android version like Oreo always take a very long time.

Samsung phone is ridiculously slim and long.. it looks to much like a remote controller. Its more suitable for ladies who put it in their handbags and the curve edge is so sissy.. :s8:

This is what I thought too initially, after using for a while the width is actually pretty good. Unfortunately the battery on my note 8 is horrible. No where near my previous mate 9.
I'm now using my note 8 with a battery case which makes the thing big and heavy but at least I'll have my battery life

I think Huawei is alright when it comes to phone updates. If you can live with Samsung update frequencies, you should be alright with Huawei then. To me Samsung update is horrendous especially for Singapore market

Can anyone share settings for priority messages to wake the phone?

When my phone is locked. My messages not getting thru.
I know there are a series of settings for mate 9. Wanted to make sure I get it right for mate 10 too.

The battery is the reason why I choose not to go for Note 8. The features are great, but is useless when I run out of power on it. I am not keen to carry a portable battery around just to charge it. :s22:

Thanks for confirming. Looking forward to giving Huawei a go. At least this time I feel there is a good alternative to Apple and Samsung. :)

I have seen online review, Mate10 Pro's 4,000 mAh died earlier than Note 8. I guess the OS or something isn't as polished to manage power, just like Razer phone too.

Similar to you, I'm thinking of giving Huawei a go if they have promotional offer at SITEX. Otherwise might be going with Note 8 due to price.

Saw that Starhub giving $200 off M10P.

It usually takes Huawei quite sometime to polish their software for better battery life. Some irritating software issues are expected but generally speaking, it's quite a good phone - good camera and battery life. On the other hand, consumers are spoilt by the choice of phones now in the market

Note 8 user who moved onto mate 10 pro here.
Been using it for the past 9 days and comparing battery. With the same usage pattern, my note 8 would be left with 15% ish at 8pm while mate 10 pro is at 45% ish.
Very solid battery life

I was checking their Facebook page last night, saw someone bashing the phone stating that a lot of basic apps cannot function. :(

there're a lot of paid bashers, because for the second year running already the incumbents have serious competition, and it's the 2nd year that the mainstream people take notice.

I'm using the phone since launch. There isn't an app I use which can't function. Everything just works.

Agree with you 101%. Started using Mate 9 since last year. Changed to P10PLUS and now to Mate 10 Pro. All apps works well for me..

Toggle still doesn't work with the Mate 10 series. The developers got it working with Oreo but not EMUI over Oreo.

They asked me to leave my phone for a week for them to test...told them don't bother.

what type of messages? sms? whatsapp? wechat? line? viber?
try "manage batch manually" under launch.
