Mind if i ask Which brand of glass protector? Or bought from?

I bought a cover from taobao and free gift from taobao seller during 11.11 promo. If you buy full screen tempered glass, must find those that provide the white edge fluid as it will help to close the gap. Abit of white edge will still appear and may trap dust under it. So far good enough for me. Smooth to scroll and less thumbprints. Alternatively go qoo10 buy buy those 3d full screen tempered glass with no white edges.

Wifi+ is always off.
I don't lock in specific network to start to allow logging in whichever stronger telecom signals.

Network also dropped off even if logged in to specific network

More problematic if try to log in and stay logged in 4G network

Problem with my phone which need checking at Huawei?
Network lock is a Telco function, enabled and disabled using USSD commands and MMI codes. If telco is not locking, please ask for telco to lock, or ask why it's not locking.

So far my phone can do whatever my Sony Z2 and Z5 Premium could. No complaints so far.

I upgraded from Z5 Premium too, but I'm still missing some features from Z5P like expandable notifications on lockscreen, drop down list on notification for Wifi network etc.

Tried it and didn't help.

Now concluded that at low mobile signal (one bar on iPhone) , mate 10 disengaged totally while iPhone 7+ still can hang on to the connection.
Ur set might be a lemon set... So far, my phone signal is as good as my previous phone.

That's right. SD has it for long already. Just they do not advertised it like a wow feature.

Even you hv the hardware, you still need software to drive it. So it stays dormant until recently Google started going all in on AI pushing manufacturers to follow suit

I can give u multiple scenarios where double tap to wake or front sensor is more convenient and much faster too.

1) you are at home or work where the phone is on the table. Notifications came in, double tap to wake phone to see who message, unlock phone using front sensor and reply on the spot without even lifting ur phone. If messages are not important, ignore without waking the screen. Do note the timeout for double tap to wake screen for quick glance is much shorter than waking the phone just to check notifications.

2) your phone is mounted in the car holder and notifications came in. Double tap and see, front sensor unlock without having ur hand awkwardly place to located the back sensor and depending on ur car phone holder, you may not even access to the sensor easily resort to using pin or pattern to unlock

Yeah, double tap to wake and front sensor have their advantages and uses.

Win. This type of reasoning is precisely why each person shd find a fone that fits his/her unique important requirement. In this case double tap shd stick w LG phones rather than wish there's the function in other fone.

You know like in lockscreen, you can pull down your whatsapp messages to see conversation. That is missing from mate 10 despite being on latest Android OS.

I get it that using fingerprint is faster, but still, it's missing some features since MM.

Son, most of your posts are negative and kept calling people troll when you don't like to hear what he/she has to say. FYI, I had mate 10, p10, mate 9 from Huawei and many other brand phones becos I love to try out the features and what not so I know what I'm talking about instead of name calling.
And I do prefer mate 10 than the pro becos mate 10 has front fingerprint sensor (see my post on advantages) and 16:9 aspect ratio is still great imo

Why do u need LG to hv this feature? You just need to add/change a line in build.prop to have this enabled (this need root tho). So it is up to Huawei if they want to give you this feature, since it's already there but not implemented in the UI.

This one inside 845 is already 3rd generation. Started from 820.

Thanks for highlighting. With a bit of googling, there were indeed some implementations of AI in the hardware a few generations back. However, 845 seems to be quite a major step to me though in terms of speed and power efficiency. Mate 9 also has a bit of AI-based algorithm inside. Whether the AI can take off really depends on the apps developers.

Here's something more technical about the hexagon DSP in the new Snapdragon processors:

Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP is a Boon for Machine Learning
https://www.xda-developers.com/qualcomm-snapdragon-845-hexagon-685-dsp/

Hexagon vs. the Competition

The Snapdragon 845’s Hexagon 685 DSP comes as an increasing number of original equipment manufacturers (OEM) pursue mobile / on-device AI solutions of their own. Huawei’s Kirin 970 — the system-on-chip inside the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro — has a “neural processing unit” (NPU) that can reportedly recognize more than 2,000 images per second at just 1/50th the power consumption of an average smartphone CPU — but of course, that’s marketing, and Huawei has struggled to gain a foothold with developers to really make such computing capabilities shine. And the Apple A11 Bionic system-on-chip in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X has a “Neural Engine” that performs real-time facial modeling and up to 600 billion operations per second, something that the company has proudly incorporated into their marketing efforts and feature set (famously via animoji).

But Qualcomm says that the Hexagon’s platform agnosticism gives it an advantage. Unlike Apple and Huawei, which largely force developers to use proprietary APIs, Qualcomm sought to support some of the most popular open-source frameworks from the get-go. For example, it worked with Google to optimize TensorFlow, Google’s machine learning platform, for the Hexagon 685 DSP — Qualcomm says it runs up to eight times faster and 25 times more power-efficiently than on non-Hexagon devices.

computer vision, video and imaging features"

Not everyone wants/knows how to root. If root then everything is open for mod.

All I'm saying is that if a particular feature is so impt to a person, go buy a fone with that. I myself used LG in the past and enjoyed the double tap and kept tapping my new phone without it at first. Now with fingerprint unlock I've found it is great. So it's just a matter of user transition as opposed to 'hoping' or 'wishing' the fone has a feature.

Grandpa.. Most of his post here are negative as well.. I'm not sure what's his objective in this forum. Maybe you should read his post again.. It sounds like sarcasm...
