Does the always on screen mode, displays non huawei apps and notficiation such as WhatsApp

I couldn't get it to display WhatsApp notifications, only sms calls etc. Anyone else can verify?

Am used to fruit phone and stock android so I find the notifications to inform me of aggressuve battery apps etc very annoying and it keeps telling me which apps are running in the background etc. Find that it's too much information and a bit distracting

Just disable such notification at battery settings

And fyi this persistent notification is inherent in Oreo. Apparently fixed in 8.1 though

When watching those long YouTube videos.. The phone will just auto lock my itself halfway. Any way to solve the issue? Cannot be my display coz I set it to never to turn off..

As if the app crash and phone get lock. Damn sian

On the contrary, I feel the feature is quite good. It reminds me that I forgot to close an app which is draining battery unnecessarily. Apps like Grab, Uber, Facebook for example, can drain your battery big time if you don't/ forget to close them.

Black is best especially for those using the Mate 10 Pro since it helps conserve battery.

Anyway, I toggle between Apple and Android phones almost every 2 years, and I have no problems adapting to this phone. In fact, I switched back to Android because (1)Apple removed the Finger ID on the iPhone X, and (2) I feel Apple products are no longer as easy to use as it used to when Steve Jobs was around. Therefore, I feel you should give it some time to get used to a switch so that you can appreciate some of the features that you will not find on an iPhone.

My Mate 10 time out is not more than 30 mins. How did you set it to never turn off?

Totally agree with you on this. Same reason why I switched to android cos of the removak of touch ID and the increasing complexity of ios. Will try to use it for a few more days to get used to it.

I do... Already reported to customer service. Do feedback too. What's ur symptom?

it has no problem connecting to device for the first time, but during continuous use, the connection will randomly drop off when i do something such as launching game, turning off screen or sometimes when there is an incoming call. Actually the phone is still connecting to the bluetooth earphone but the sounds come out directly from the phone speaker, which is SUPER ANNOYING.

Other than that, i really love the phone man! it was just being crowned smartphone of the year by Android Authority

2. Beats Solo Wireless 2
3. Sony XB950BT

Bluetooth for me was very stable. I paired with my car stereo, Bluetooth headset and Xiaomi band all without drops and issues at all
