Battery life. Need to recharge more often with 131.

How is it? My s8 doing well, just that getting a bit laggy already. One thing prefer to stick with s8 is I like the double press the power button to go into CAMERA. Which I think is missing from mate 10 Pro. But I like the 2 years warranty from mate 10 Pro.

Anyway where can I get a good deal for mate 10 Pro? Currently cheapest I can find is 930.

currently having mi max and s7 edge. looking for just 1 phone to replace both

for huawei mate 10,
camera: i know wont be as good as s7 edge but are they reliable enough to take fast shots and decent low light photos?

battery: read that emui has aggressive management system to give better battery life. if i disable that will the battery life still be decent?

OS fluidity: as long as it doesnt lag im fine

i feel camera is better then samsung in low light shots. and leica lens is good la. i believe u dont need to worry about the cammera of this phone

battery life is good and doesnt lag. i dont find that emui has aggresive management system. just use as it is la, dont need to tune alot. let the AI learn your usage pattern and tune accordingly

i was from s7 and i jumped to mate 10(non pro), yes the camera is reliable & able to take fast shots plus decent in low light photos

on paper it says it doesnt. but try to stay away from nova launcher coz i read somewhere tht it consumes battery. i was previously on microsoft launcher on my s7, jumped from nova launcher and yes theres a diff in batt life i must say.

straight from the box was v113 and i update to v119 and staying with it for now. theres alr v132 but im still gathering feedbacks for that version before i make the change. i can say that the phone doesnt lag as much as my s7. i hate emui at first but after discovering certain useful features and customisations im starting to like it. out from the box emui is ugly u just gotta play ard with the themes and voila! i hope this helps!

Camera quality is not likely to be worse than a S7
Directly compared with a S8 and note 8, and respective phone owners mention the M10p captures better images. M10/p has the same cameras.

Yes, shots are as fast as they get and the low light performance is insane. Quite a lot of post processing goes on(in a good way), resulting in an almost noise free image. Dynamic range and colour representation is the best I've seen, especially in low light.

You can double tap the volume down to trigger the camera to instantly take a shot when phone is locked. It shows you how fast it takes the shot, which has averaged out to .7s

You can't exactly disable the battery management, it's just part of EMUI. You can prevent it from killing certain apps (not that it kills every app, only power intensive ones). Hit on battery should be negligible.

No lags in the OS. I would say EMUI is actually fairly well made.
