It's not a Huawei exclusive thing, it's an Oreo thing.

dreaded this day. SD card died on me. kept getting 'sd card damaged, replace current card' error. only happened when i tried to backup my stuffs to my NAS.

I think 4 years is pretty decent. Not sure about your usage, so can't really conclude if it was due to high disk activity/ write that caused it to die.

Anyway, SD cards are not known to last. I have had SD cards that failed, and one in less than a year.

yup 4 years is quite good comparing to my others too.

Why would it lag? Unfortunately, I don't have a Mate 10, so I can't try this out.

just bought a 200gb in the afternoon, no lag whatsoever :o

Mate 10 (4GB/64GB) vs View 10 any clue?

Which will you pick?

Both super closely priced right now. *facepalm*

Outlook I go over View 10. Camera I go over Mate 10 (OIS).

Some may not like longish screen too.

2 years warranty vs 1 year warranty, OIS, potential to get P20 Pro kind of night mode, 4GB vs 6GB, 64GB vs 128GB etc etc.

So hard to decide between the two. Headache haha

Which ever is lower in price.
Nowadays seems like Huawei is focusing on the Honor sub brand to tackle middle level phone.
Like those phone priced at 5xx also using 970 SoC

Camera, go for Mate 10
RAM/Storage, go for View 10.

Personally I'll go for View 10 for the higher ram and storage.

Thinking of buying a second hand Mate 10 / Mate 10 Pro. But I've been reading this forumn and there seems to be complaints of bad battery life?

Can anyone point out if it's a matter of manufacturing batch (nov-dec 2017 vs mar-may 2018) or firmware (which firmware is the problematic one?) or specific to one of the two variants (non-pro vs pro).

Would greatly appreciate any help and opinions!

To be honest I don't really think there's any issue with bad battery life.

Maybe sometimes firmware makes the battery life not as good as the previous, which can be possible, but still it's way way better than any other phones out there.
