Just remember kirin 980 will be the 1st phone cpu to b crafted in 7nm in the world, that will make the decision simpler

But Apple, Samsung, Qualcomm al coming out 7nm chipset soon also. Apple new iphone might come with 7nm chipset as well i think.
But i will get a huawei phone and Ipad to go along. Likely mate20

Because of aspect ratio.

The sensor in Mate 10 is a 4:3 sensor. So when you shoot video, it use only part of the sensor, crop to 16:9 ratio. Imagine the top and bottom part they cut out then left with the narrow wide ratio.

If you set the photo to 16:9 ratio then you see similar framing.

Some phone is using 16:9 sensor so when switch to video mode, there is no zooming. But at the same time, the photo can only be taken in 16:9 mode. If taken in 4:3 mode it will crop out a lot at the top and bottom.

How do I disable Location Permission for Google Play?

So here is how I try to disable the Location Permission for Google Play Services:

Android Settings > Applications > Google Play Services [2]

Under Permissions, Location is listed. Click on Permissions. Try to disable Location.

I get a pop-up:

"Attention: Google Play Services is a provider of location services for this device. Location access can be modified from location settings. OK/LOCATION SETTINGS"

Pressing OK simply makes the pop-up go away.
Pressing LOCATION SETTINGS takes me to the same menu that appeared in [1] above. There is no setting to disable location for Google Play Services. Google play services appears in the "Recent location requests" list. Clicking on that link takes me back to [2] (i.e. that just creates a cycle).

So it appears that there actually is *no way* to disable location permission for the Google Play Services.

There's an App Lock feature in Settings right? I haven't used that before though.

That's for people who cannot unlock the phone... In my case, the phone is gonna be used by kids but I want to restrict their usages to certain apps.

I read online there is a "student mode" for Huawei phone but seems like it's not available on our phone... Haha
