mate10 here, mine okay. got the blue blinking notification.
Mine is either not working or too dim. End up I configure the screen to turn on (iPhone style) instead. Else no way to admire the magazine cover at the login screen cos the fingerprint is too fast. :D

For Mate 10 Pro, the screen is AMOLED, is it better not to turn on the AOD? To prevent any burn in on the screen.. Correct?

It depends what you have running in the background. You may think you killed the app, but some apps are notorious for persistently running in the background. I suspect the likes of some games and Facebook being some of them.

So much work for a smart phone. Quite keen to get mate 10 pro due to the battery capacity but if the system doesn’t optimise to minimise battery drain also like no point.

This area they need to learn from iOS how to achieve superb standby time.

I had the same problem as you on my Mate 10 Pro.

Remedied by signing on to Google Payments on a desktop browser and manually adding my card there. Then reopened Android Pay app on my phone and the app automatically recognised the same card I just added to Google Payments. Thereafter just tap on the respective card number and it would be linked to your Android Pay app as well.

Isn't the Mate 10 Pro using AMOLED? The likes of Samsung S8 are using Super AMOLED.

Pro is AMOLED. non pro is IPS LCD

According to their webpage, Mate 10 is LCD display while Mate 10 Pro is OLED. Both AMOLED and OLED are different types of display.

Settings > Apps and notifications > notifications and status bar > turn screen on

Funny.. Didn't see the turn screen on option.
Only have the following -
Pulse notification light
Display carrier name
Notification method
Display network speed
Battery percentage

How come?
