I prefer the fingerprint in front cos when the phone is on the table facing up, i need to lift the phone up, stick my hand underneath and unlock it. Whereas if the fingerprint scanner was in front i just place my thumb on it to see if i got any pending notifications.

Hi,

Yes me too but they go add virtual navigation buttons on top of the fingerprint scanner which is ugly tbh. I dont understand why they didn't put physical navigation/fingerprint buttons together like samsung s7

Happen to spot the Mate 10 at Tamp Mall Courts and had a tried for few minutes. Come across there is a screen resolution setting undet battery settings. Can choose from 720p, 1080p, and 1440p. Not sure how effective on battery saving. :s13::s13::s13:
Also, too bad FM did not come back anymore.

U can add your home or office to "trusted places" under smart lock...once you're in the location, phone doesn't lock.

True but means my colleagues can also take my phone and see everything inside cos it's permanently unlocked. Anyway my office phone got MDM so it's always locked after 15 mins, not allowed to implement this "trusted places" feature.

or do it like Oneplus right? Yes i agree that's stupid, waste screen estate. anyway with the bezel-less craze now, fingerprint scanners will probably be at the back, until one champion implements under-the-screen fingerprint scanner then ho say liao,

how does the vibration on the mate 10 feel for those who have tried it?
I used P10 for awhile and the P10 vibration intensity is too strong, and the build of the phone somehow gives it the hollow feel when i type with haptic feedback, or when pressing on the back/recent apps.

Played with mate 10 at courts causeway point. My hands on impressions

Phone feels awkwardly wide. Something like LG Optimus Vu 2

Screen quality is definitely compromised / not in par with the mate 9

Phone definitely feels warm / hot. May be due to glass? Again a step down from mate 9 and I never felt uncomfortably warm with mate 9.

Again due to glass the phone never feels safe in hands and very slippery.

I definitely felt the phone performance also sluggish compared to mate 9. Both mate 9 and mate 10 were demo sets.

:(:(. probability of getting this phone is getting lower and lower.

on the warm / hot, is it possible that because demo set in shops always attached to charger?

another thing is that glass will have alot of fingerprint stain

Btw..anywhere in the central area have this demo set? Want to go molest it

Not sure it will follow p9, p10. Non pro version always has less LTE frequency band coverage. Also the spec did not clear say if this is LTE cat9 or better.

Anyone can confirm Huawei quick charge is QC3 compatible?

Went to play with this phone at tampines mall courts

Primarily is to test out the vibration intensity that i asked earlier.

Unfortunately, it feels the same as p10, the haptic feedback feels like the phone is not tightly packed, the vibration sort of rattles the phone. Does anyone feels the same way i do? Or am I the only one with a weird pet peeve in phones haha

you can easily find the specs here.
https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_mate_10-8877.php

HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE-A (3CA) Cat18 1200/150 Mbps

And it is HW proprietary super charging with its own charger+cable, not Qualcomm since it is a HW Kirin CPU.

Thats why I mentioned that mate 9 also a demo set and never felt the same warm.

Glass is bound to have the fingerprints..

The AI probably takes up some processing time to learn your habit. Over some time it should work faster. Wait for more reviews to compare first. At just under $900 with freebies, Mate 10 is very reasonably priced.

add 7% CC and 5% liveup from lazada and if you could sell off your freebies + sell off your current phone elsewhere, well worth it!
