I've not taken a monochrome picture. However, I believe the monochrome camera does not come with image stabilizer, which is why it could blur easily. However, the beauty of the monochrome camera is that it captures more light as compared to the main RGB camera.

The wifi slows down and got to reconnect again. I'm experiencing this issue. It's inside this thread. Happens to those with singtel routers

I guess is Singtel router issue than phone issues.
I have Singtel router and Asus router, Asus router is far more reliable than Singtel one.

It is not a firmware problem for sure. Either the phone don't like Singtel, or Singtel don't like the phone. Considering that the phone works well with all other routers out there (at least I have not heard of widespread wifi issues), I reckon it is likely the Singtel router that is giving issues.

I ordered my Mate 10 from them, so far so good. They were quite prompt with delivery.

There are known issues between incompatible devices. For eg my laptop has killer wifi card and it occasionally crashes my tplink archer c7 router but no issues against others.

super laggy and need to charge at least 2 times plus a spare batt.

don't dare to use my phone much, when I'm out for the whole day.

Got my mum this Huawei mate pro 10 midnight blue from Starhub recontract cause I am so tired of her saying she dunno how to use her redmi note 3 camera . This is like her note 3 in terms of battery life but with better auto focusing

Is phone FW issue. Common to emui and Miui too. Just that sometime it drop a short time and hardly notice by user.

Why are you so sure it's Huawei fw issue? Asus router has no issue. Can I blame it on Singtel shitty router?

I have both SingTel and Asus router. SingTel router need to be restarted like once a month or more.
Sometimes need to call 1688 to reset at their end to resolve the problems...

I'm not sure about Xiaomi's MiUi, but I don't noticed the WiFi dropping off on my Mate 10 Pro. I'm using M1.

Btw Mate 10 don't have Google Assistant by default? Need to download as a separate app?

Although the P20 with 8.1 shows Assistant built in with deeper integration, hopefully this means a closer relationship and integration with Google going forward.

Problem with Android is the fragmentation. I am not sure how well they can integrate since there will be many different NPUs going forward and Google themselves are using a different NPU in their own phones which they will definitely prioritized.

Encryption

Hello does anyone know if the Mate 10 has file based encryption already enabled by default? I realise that the encryption settings are not available in EMUI. Been trying to find this information but most of it is contradictory
