I also hate finger print scanner at the rear, but a lot of tech reviewers bash phones with FS infront, not a huge fan of bezel-less anyway.

Your phone no slow down if no restart?

Mine is ok, all apps still snappy, only camera become very slow to launch. But restart immediately back to snappy for camera as well.

So far no such issue on both phones.
Anyway phone with such a powerful processor shouldn't be laggy. My Sony Z2 already don't have such problem.

Thank you so much for the review, greatly appreciate it.
By the way is there a difference between the mate 10 and mate 10 pro camera? And is the difference big if there is any?

I don't see difference in between.
You can use the gsmarena camera compare tool to compare the image quality.

i personally prefer it to be on the front, because most of the time, my phone is resting on the table. it's much more convenient to just tap the scanner to wake the screen up/go to home screen.

by the way i'm using m10pro. still thinking if want to change to p20pro (partly because of the 3x/5x camera)... price is still quite high in the streets.

Maybe wait for next gen mate series. New SoC is due for sure and perhaps improvement on software as well.

I got my mate 10 from singapore as a tourist and still on v132 so according to you guys of sim card logic, will I ever get any update?

Btw I am talking about the mate 10 (non pro).

132 here as well, on Indonesia telcom right now.

There's 134 and 135 in FF already, for a month for the 134.

M1, 135
Don't know what's the diff

What's the difference between 134 and 135??

Sent from HUAWEI MATE 10 PRO using GAGT

Change Log for 134 and 135 seems to be the same.

Face Unlock, May security updates.

I see...mine still 134..Thanks for the reply

I don't notice any slowdown well. I don't reboot my phone everyday.

Yes you will be able to receive updates. The reason why using sim card from other countries is so that we can receive the update faster, not because we don't receive any update.
If you're not using not SIM card from SG, you should be able to get the update faster.

Depends on a lot of variables I think.

It just seem to be Malaysia telcoms very liberal on rolling out the updates. Singapore takes a bit longer, even Indonesia network that I'm on is slow.

Basically the firmware is already completed, but Huawei don't push it out to everyone instantly. First it comes from waves dependent on IMEI number, but I don't know how they segregate them, but it's rolled out weekly new sets of IMEI can update.

Then telco also play a part in it.

So you will get the update, but how fast it really depends, just that inserting the Malaysia SIM to trick the servers into thinking you're on Malaysia telcom seems to allow the update to come to you earlier.

It's still much faster than a lot of other regions though, some still stuck at 129 or something.
