hi guys,

I'm eye-ing to get this phone as replacement for my iPhone 7 Plus. However, I'm still torn whether should I get this or the Pro version.

What's your input on this?

The difference:
-Mate 10 uses LCD screen but supports QHD resolution. That means is sharper mate 10 pro only up to FHD+ but uses AMOLED

-As for screen brightness:
Mate 10 Normal allows for 415 nits of maximum brightness, while the screen can automatically light up to 630nits under sunlight if needed.

Mate 10 pro has 2 modes : normal and vivid display
Normal allows for 422 nits of maximum brightness and the screen won't go beyond that
Its vivid mode allows 440 nits of max brightness and 620 when under direct sunlight

-It has headphone jack which mate 10 pro doesn't have

-Mate 10 4gb ram vs pro 6gb ram

how to see if its supercharge? i normally just put there and ignore it..around 50 mins from 10% to 100%

Always faster in Malaysia.
Maybe SG by default number of users are not as much as in Malaysia.
Even Sony also slower. Everytime I come back Malaysia can receive update faster than in SG.

really? didnt notice much. still can last me 24 hrs (including sleeping). but i use it like whatsapp telegram chrome facebook instagram etc etc. no gaming

The Mate 10s camera hasn't been updated with the newer tech yet. So still loses by alot.
Dun think comparable even with the P20 non pro.

They would I guess. It's a matter of when. There's screenshot of a China rom for that I think?

Either way, they would likely release Android P for Mate 10s with the newer Emui. By then should have it.

im using the default calendar widget to show all my events without having to click to the app.

It doesn't update automatically and is still showing events from the past month, plus it doesn't reflect the latest events i just added unless i restart my phone.

Any suggestions on solving this issue?

Try download Business Calendar 2.
It offers a better calendar widget and supports syncing of latest events, and has workaround for emui.
This is cause emui is too aggressive to kill running tasks (that it even kills its own default apps/widgets).

btw whats the diff with the sp violet and blue?

No difference to me except the tint colour. But v effective in blocking out the glaring screen light. Compared it against my mom's normal screen protector, can feel the strain on my eye after 5mins of looking at her hp so gg to change too!
